The scan he mentioned in the above post is just Twain scanning. In order to have scan to folder, desktop, etc, they would have to propose the ir5020i. The 5000i is discontinued. Our scanning solutions come with both types of scan solution, not just Twain. Their total cost for the whole deal is between 10,500 and 10,900. The print board, punch and paper deck were priced at dealer cost. They are using one of several dixcounts that Canon offers to go that low. You need to make sure that if scanning is important, that ehy understand that is is just Twain scanning. The 5020i will be more expensive.
I don't see how they can make money at $.0045 per copy - does that include supplies. I have a customer with Savin 2055dp 2 years into a 5 year lease. Service is parts, labor, toner, developer, drum $.017 per copy Canon offered them a new machine at $.0077 per copy. Customer is about 2 hours from my office and only runs about 12k per month - what kind of pricing would you guys give on service and supply agreement for that kind of volume??
Way I See it, is that companies are low balling service and supplies. At 12K per month and .0077, thats $92.00 per month.

There could also be a flat monthly service fee that was not explained to the customer. I have seen it here for $50 per month plus the cpc charge.

I just lost a deal to Canon on an 85ppm where they quoted .0050 for cpc with 200K minimum. We would not go that low for our new 2090.
