BTA West to Host Capture the Magic
Aug. 4-5 in Las Vegas, Nevada
BTA member dealers receive 2-for-1 registration & can use their $150 coupon code
Kansas City, MO — Planned and hosted by the dealer volunteer leadership team of BTA West, the Business Technology Association’s (BTA’s) Capture the Magic event will be held Aug. 4-5 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The event will feature a powerful keynote session by Jeff Slutsky of Street Fighter Marketing and six general sessions specifically selected for today’s office technology dealers. In addition, the event agenda includes great networking opportunities — a welcoming reception and a Blue Man Group performance.
There will be time during the event to visit with 30-plus exhibiting sponsors, many of which will hold drawings for great prizes. Dealer attendees can also enter on-site for a chance to win one of five $100 American Express gift cards and be entered into the BTA Event Sweepstakes.
Capture the Magic will begin at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, with welcoming comments and the keynote address, “Street Fighter Marketing: Out-Thinking, Not Out-Spending, Your Competition,” led by Slutsky. Following the keynote, a break and the first general session will be held: “Understanding & Leveraging the XQ Factor of Your Employees,” led by Joe Keshmiri of XQ Innovation. A welcoming reception will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m., giving attendees time to network with peers and exhibiting sponsors. Breaks between sessions on both days will also give attendees additional networking time.
The second day of Capture the Magic will begin at 7 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, with breakfast, followed by opening comments and three educational sessions: “The Ten Commandments of New Revenue Growth,” led by Steven Rolla of Pros Elite Group; “How to Increase Sales & Retain Accounts in the New Era of Office Technology,” led by Ed McLaughlin of Valderus and Rick Reynolds of AskForensics; and “Seat-Based Billing for Managed Print,” led by West McDonald of Print Audit and FocusMPS.
Lunch will follow the morning sessions from noon to 1 p.m. After lunch, the final educational sessions will be held: “End-in-Mind Hiring,” led by Troy Harrison of Troy Harrison & Associates; and “Key Trends in the Hardware & Consumables Markets,” led by Charles Brewer of Actionable Intelligence. The educational portion of the event will wrap up at 3:45 p.m. with closing comments and prize drawings. At 6:30 p.m., attendees will depart for the Luxor Hotel and Casino for a Blue Man Group performance.
