BTA’s Spring Break Event to Be Held
March 19-20 in Orlando, Florida
BTA member dealers receive 2-for-1 registration
Kansas City, MO — The Business Technology Association (BTA) will hold its first event of 2021, Spring Break, hosted by BTA Southeast, March 19-20, at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Orlando, Florida. Open to office technology dealers from across the country, the event will feature: a keynote address on managing the multigenerational workplace by Dr. Steven Shepard of Shepard Communications Group LLC; a panel discussion on service improvement; four additional educational sessions led by industry leaders; and time to network with peers and exhibiting sponsors, including during a welcoming reception and breaks.
Spring Break will be a social distancing event, and BTA will adhere to current social distancing practices and guidelines. These may include, but are not limited to, spread-out seating for attendees, a handshake-free environment, hand-sanitizing stations, etc.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 19, with welcoming comments and the first educational session, “Administration in the Leadership Circle,” led by Diane Waltemath, CEO of Performance Now LLC. A break, giving attendees time to visit with peers and exhibiting sponsors, will follow. Breaks between sessions on both days will also give attendees additional networking time.
The second educational session, “The A4 Revolution,” led by Ray Stasieczko, founder and CEO of TEASRA, The Innovation Channel, will follow the break.
Lunch will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Following lunch, the final two educational sessions will be held: “Behavior Assessments — The Missing Piece of Your Hiring Puzzle,” led by Sally Brause, director of human resources consulting at GreatAmerica Financial Services Corp.; and “Cybersecurity,” led by Jay Ryerse, vice president of cybersecurity initiatives at ConnectWise. Following the educational sessions, an outdoor welcoming reception will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m., wrapping up the first day.
The second day of Spring Break will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, with breakfast, followed by opening comments and the keynote address: “Managing the Multigenerational Workplace: Lessons for Leaders,” presented by Dr. Steven Shepard, founder of Shepard Communications Group LLC. A break will follow the keynote. After the break, Jack Duncan of Jack Duncan Consulting will moderate the panel discussion on service improvement. Closing comments and prize drawings will wrap up the event from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

BTA member dealers receive 2-for-1 registration to Spring Break. BTA member dealer registration is $199, which includes the Friday and Saturday educational sessions; Friday lunch and welcoming reception; and Saturday breakfast. An additional attendee from the same member dealership is $99. Non-member dealer registration is $249 per person. A spouse or guest is $79 and a child under 12 is $50.
