WESTMINSTER, Colo.–February 14, 2017–Brother will showcase a broad and diverse mix of mobile and fixed printing and communications solutions designed to help improve patient safety and care delivery at the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) event, February 19-23, 2017 in Orlando, FL. Expanding Brother’s presence at HIMSS17, Brother Mobile Solutions and Brother International Corporation will showcase its full “continuum of care” printing, capturing and communications portfolio together at Booth #4216. Additionally, Brother OmniJoin® will showcase its cloud-based video platform for telehealth at Booth #7753.

HIMSS is the preeminent event in healthcare IT, attracting more than 40,000 professionals, clinicians and healthcare executives from around the world. At this year’s event, Brother will display solutions spanning the entire healthcare landscape – from patient ID wristbands at admissions; to point-of-care labeling of specimen or blood samples for the lab; pharmacy labeling for proper medication administration, laser print and capture devices for office practices, and cloud based video conferencing enabling telehealth connections between healthcare providers and patients.

Apply Vital Health Information Across the Healthcare Landscape

The Brother team will display its full suite of wireless mobile printing and labeling solutions for healthcare, along with robust, office-based laser all-in-ones, dedicated desktop scanners and labeling products from parent, Brother International Corp. Brother’s HIMSS17 theme ‒ ‘Continuum of Care Printing for Better Care Everywhere’ reflects the solid benefits hospitals and independent health delivery networks can gain with the deployment of healthcare-specific labeling, patient ID and capture and print technology.

According to David Crist, President of Brother Mobile Solutions: “Now that core EHR systems are in place throughout healthcare, we are seeing a need for complementary mobile print and patient ID solutions that identify and link patients with vital health information needed for positive identification and quality care delivery. Highly connected, truly mobile solutions that seamlessly interoperate with EHR information are vital to helping caregivers ensure the right patient receives the right treatment in the safest and most cost-effective way – anywhere across the continuum of care.”

He continued, “As the healthcare industry continues its journey toward value-based care, mobile printing solutions will continue to deliver benefits – from admission, to medication administration, to hospital lab and pharmacy operations, and even following discharge as patients move to home care.”

HIPPA-Compliant Connections for Better Care

In addition, Brother OmniJoin® will exhibit at HIMSS, at Booth #7753. Brother OmniJoin is a cloud-based video conferencing platform to enable secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth and telemedicine connections between healthcare providers and patients. The exhibit will also showcase Brother’s array of compact mobile printing solutions for on-the-go care providers, such as visiting nurses, technicians, and care management professionals serving the growing home health market, as well as rehab centers, nursing homes, and senior care facilities.
