Bowing to Xerox a bad move

Editor's Note:This letter is addressed to Chatham- Kent council.
With so many people struggling emotionally, physically and financially due to job losses in Chatham- Kent, you have the audacity to award a contract to Xerox, a Torontobased company.
What a warm fuzzy feeling to know you were threatened by Xerox's "deal with us or we'll sue."
Where is your support for our local businesses? Will Xerox support our community in the generous manner which Maple City Office Equipment has for years and years? Just how many bad decisions are you making on behalf of our community? Did you not know in times of hardship, people are supposed to come together and support each other and their community?
You have betrayed your own community, and I hope you can sleep tonight as no doubt due to one of the worst decisions council has ever made, you the Municipality of Chatham- Kent, may have caused yet another person(s) to join us -- "us" being those who have lost our jobs.
