(Konica Minolta), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, today launched the bizhub® C652DS/C552DS Series of Color Multifunctional Products (MFPs - print, copy, fax, and scan all in one system). With the availability of two finisher options, the bizhub C652DS and bizhub C552DS systems produce superior, cost-effective color when customers require it most while allowing for a multitude of output options. With a dual scanner that can simultaneously scan both sides of a duplex original and the compatibility with a 100-sheet or 50-sheet finisher, these additions to the award-winning bizhub C652/C552/C452 Series can fit into any mid-to-large workgroup or business environment in addition to light production environments.
Built upon the strong success of the
award-winning line of bizhub MFPs including BLI's recent 'Outstanding
Achievement for Energy Efficiency' award given to the bizhub C552, the bizhub C652DS/C552DS Series offers seamless
connectivity to deliver exceptional performance with scanning speeds of up to
156 originals per minute (opm), high image quality and reliability with a low
total cost of ownership. The standard security features make them ideal
for government organizations and other environments that require protection of
sensitive data.
Both systems feature Konica Minolta's proprietary
Simitri® HD Color Polymerized Toner, which provides sharper text, enhanced fine
detail, richer colors and greater long-term resistance to fading for all printed
documents. The bizhub C652DS provides fast 50 ppm color output speed, 65
ppm B&W output for everyday documents, and ultra high-speed scanning for
storage, sharing and Email distribution. Fast, compact and affordable, the
bizhub C552DS provides spectacular color output at up to 45 ppm - plus
cost-effective B&W prints and copies at up to 55 ppm for everyday document
needs.

The bizhub C652/C552
Series is available now through Konica Minolta's North American direct sales,
authorized dealer and value-added reseller channels. The manufacturer's
suggested retail price (MSRP) for the bizhub C652DS is $32,950, and the bizhub
C552DS is $26,695.
