Chicago, IL, October 22, 2006 — Océ (NASDAQ: OCENY), a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announces that the newly launched Océ VarioPrint® Titanium line has already earned one of the most prestigious awards in the industry: the coveted five-star exceptional rating from BERTL. The independent analysis concluded that the Océ VarioPrint 2100 Titanium and Océ VarioPrint 2110 Titanium systems surpass other digital production printers in their class in terms of quality, productivity, simplicity and operating costs. Corporate printrooms and commercial printshops can rely on these printers to produce higher volumes hour after hour.

The Océ VarioPrint Titanium 21X0 printers were noted for their simplified approach to productivity. In some cases, this means customers can reduce the number of operators required from several to just one. The systems were also noted for being more flexible and productive than other digital production printers. Even with extensive testing, no paper jams occurred with the Titanium systems, further contributing to uninterrupted productivity.

These use Adobe® PDF workflow that is compliant with open market-standard document formats to streamline job submission, acceptance, preparation, production, finishing and archiving for Océ and non-Océ digital production printers. As a result, printrooms and printshops can improve efficiency and seamlessly integrate the Océ VarioPrint 2100 Titanium and Océ VarioPrint 2110 Titanium with third-party proprietary archives and printers.
Océ VarioPrint Titanium Printers
The new Océ VarioPrint 21X0 Titanium printers are designed for nonstop production and greater productivity through longer runs of unattended printing and streamlined print stream processing. The input capacity of 10,200 A4/letter and output capacity of 10,500 A4/letter pages allows several hours of uninterrupted, unattended production, greatly increasing the productivity of the print operation. The Titanium printers have a higher quality rating and faster RIP and print speed than previous models, with a new integrated high-end controller. Significant new capabilities include speed improvements, a High Capacity Stacker (HCS), and an integrated high-end controller combine to deliver uninterrupted high-speed production. With the lowest ozone emission in its class and quiet operation, the Océ VarioPrint Titanium line continues the Océ tradition of environmentally friendly engineering.
