Battery Backup for Ricohc6502

I spoke to John Anderson yesterday and he stated he had heard of some dealers quoting a battery back up for copiers.  John stated it was the same type of back up used for PC's.  Thinking you could make about 10 copies before it runs out of juice right?

I found this https://www.110220volts.com/ups-1200m.html, I'm also a little concerned that maybe the other rep has no clue as to what he presented?  Maybe he presented power filters and called them power back ups?

Did you ask the client why there is a need for a battery back up for the copier?

The rep quoted it as "included" but told him he could only get it from a Ricoh dealer and that it is an $1,800 option. Mind you, he's selling Canon equipment. The accounts print shop is 3 years away, and the account isn't concerned about multiple vendors. I'm glad to see you have the same concerns about this as I did.
