Pennsylvania print and graphics provider expands its services
MELVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 8, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced that Astro-Dynamic Print & Graphic Services, a Warminster, Pennsylvania-based multifaceted print provider, has purchased the Canon imagePRESS C700 color digital press. This landmark purchase marks the 1000th imagePRESS C800/C700 series sold by Canon Solutions America's Enterprise Services and Solutions division.
Recognized throughout the industry as a game-changing option for production printing solutions, the Canon imagePRESS C800/C700 digital press series comprises the imagePRESS C700 and imagePRESS C800 color digital presses and delivers advanced levels of print quality and versatility in commercial print environments. Canon Solutions America customers continue to remark that the reliability and consistency associated with the series has proved to be a valuable differentiator for the company in an ever-evolving print landscape.
"Our team at Astro-Dynamic is closely involved with advancements in new print technologies, and we are always looking for ways to push the limits of our own offerings and help our customers advance their businesses," said Darrel Dundore, president of Astro-Dynamic. "With Canon Solutions America and its dynamic products like the new line of imagePRESS color presses by our side, we have a partner that shares our philosophy of moving technology and the industry forward."
For a print company that started in 1971, Dundore noted that witnessing the industry evolve over the last 10 years has been nothing short of exhilarating. Taking the company to a sheet-fed, digital platform, Astro-Dynamic now operates as one of the top print providers in the Pennsylvania region and continues to provide its customers with enhanced services and uncompromising quality. Specializing in commercial printing, offset printing, digital printing, variable data printing, and mailing services, Astro-Dynamic is recognized throughout the greater Philadelphia region as one of the leading-edge commercial printers and print service providers. Astro-Dynamic's most recent acquisition of the imagePRESS C700 has proven to be a seamless fit to the company's thriving operation and existing digital print fleet that includes two full-color high speed Canon imagePRESS digital presses. Combined, these presses offer 140 pages per minute (ppm) of output on even heavy stocks. Additionally, to complement its full-color production, Astro-Dynamic utilizes a dedicated 125 ppm high-quality Canon black-and-white imagePRESS to fulfill its clients' high speed black-and-white production needs.
"Working with companies like Astro-Dynamic allows us to see where the industry is going and how we can be a force in shaping future technologies," said Tracie Sokol, vice president, Marketing, Enterprise Services and Solutions, Canon Solutions America. "The resounding success of the Canon imagePRESS C800/C700 Series is due in large part to Canon Solutions America partnering with our customers and ensuring that we meet the demands of the expansive and changing print industry."
At Canon Solutions America, sustainability and working toward "green" initiatives are two paramount philosophies and business practices that represent who and what the company stands for. Similarly, Astro-Dynamic has gone to great lengths to show its support of the environment, proven most notably by its facility which is run by over 250 solar panels. By going solar, Astro-Dynamic, one of the only companies of its size in the region that relies heavily on solar power, now replaces 80 percent of its electrical consumption and generates significant energy savings, while greatly lowering carbon dioxide emissions.
"It's reasons like Astro-Dynamic's commitment to the environment that makes working with them such a truly valuable and rewarding partnership," added Sokol. "We are proud to work alongside Astro-Dynamic and to continue to be there for them with top services and solutions."
"Our partnership with Canon is one we value greatly," remarked Dundore. "From the beginning, Canon Solutions America has been willing to give and take along with us, meet our deadlines, continually respond quickly to whatever our needs might be, and, most importantly, bring us the technology to help set us apart."
