The Army tasked 31 tech companies — including D.C.-area contractors like Carahsoft Technology Corp., DLT Solutions and others — to supply it, the Department of Defense and other agencies with commercial-off-the-shelf software as part a $13 billion contract awarded Monday.
The 10-year multiaward, Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 contract calls on the vendors to provide software and maintenance across 14 product categories to any agencies within the Army’s enterprise information technology infrastructure and infostructure.
Those categories include software and corresponding hardware for everything from audio-visual and business finance needs to cybersecurity and data management tools, which are commercially available but are provided to the service by a series of vetted suppliers. read the rest here
