AMCAD, a leading provider of software solutions to courts, jails, prosecutors, probation, county clerks, recorders offices, and other government offices, announced today that it has started work under an extensive document management project with Arizona's Pinal County Clerk of the Superior Court, and this scanning project is now in the pilot phase. AMCAD entered into a comprehensive contract with Pinal County in February 2014 and started the offsite pilot of the project in the same month. Once the Pinal County Clerk of the Superior Court reviews and approves the pilot, AMCAD will complete scanning and indexing of approximately five million images in six months, which is a record timetable for such a project. Pinal County is located in the central part of Arizona and is the third most populous county in the state with an estimated population of 387,000 people.
“This project is critical to the long term records management strategy for the Clerk of Superior Court. We are eliminating thousands of square feet of files and file shelving, and ultimately increasing our size of our electronic records repository. This digitization project of paper court cases converted to electronic images will enhance security, ensure long-term preservation, and improve access by the court and public,” stated Clerk of the Superior Court Chad A. Roche.
AMCAD's Managed Services division, which encompasses a broad range of document management services including conversion, micrographics, indexing, and physical storage, is located in Rock Island, IL on a secure, active United States Military Base. AMCAD offers document services to digitize existing documents (backfile conversion) and also to modernize ongoing operations (day forward) using premier technology. AMCAD's Managed Services Center is designed to ensure the confidentiality and security of customer data. AMCAD's facility also houses a Kodak Certified Lab with full access to Kodak's Microfilm Disaster Recovery Program and is HIPPA and OSHA compliant.
