Altec Products, Inc., the leader in document management and workflow solutions, announced today their mobility update for doc-link 3.0 which includes a new mobile app and an updated web client.  These two modules provide convenient and efficient options for an increasingly mobile workforce.

doc-link Mobile provides document access and workflow approval from phones and tablets.  The app is available in native app form for both iOS and Android, making it easy to do reviews and approvals from a mobile device. doc-link Web, Altec’s zero-footprint client, has also been enhanced to include workflow capability. The web client can serve as a portal for business partners or as an access point for doc-link users running Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox or Safari. The web client also features Quick Search, an inquiry option that can be hosted on a SharePoint web page for easy access to doc-link documents from within SharePoint.

Merri Jo Cleair, Product Manager, states, “We are committed to providing our customers with additional options that strengthen their current doc-link user experience.” She adds, “With today’s workforce increasingly mobile, doc-link Mobile and doc-link Web offer greater document visibility from multiple devices and browsers. These enrichments make approving and processing documents even easier, regardless of the user’s location or device.”

Mark Ford, CEO at Altec, states, “With the release of doc-link Mobile, we are continuing to move towards a true multi-tenant cloud offering. As we continue to invest in doc-link’s architecture and accessibility, users will see significant performance increases and better management tools for their businesses, resulting in greater visibility. We believe our customers will be thrilled with this new enhancement to their user experience.”

The doc-link Mobile app is available to download for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play but requires an existing doc-link account for document access. Altec will be conducting in-person demonstrations of the app and its features at upcoming tradeshows for its ERP solution provider partners such as Epicor Software, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Software and SAP B1.
