I'll have to admit, I have not had a "gotcha" from Ricoh in quite awhile, until a few days ago.
I am a big reader of brochures and Ihave read the 615C brochure over and over and over. And now I have just read it again!
You would tend to think that when the brochure states Scanning Resolution: 100dpi-600dpi (scan-to-email/folder) and they place this under Copier/Engine Specifications, that Scan2Email and Scan2Folder is a standard feature, especially since it is not listed in with the accessories or options!
Well just so ya know! Scan2Email ands Scan2Folder is not a standard feature, as a matter a fact neither is color duplex or..... rats read for your selves. This is from Ricoh in reference to the "Function Upgrade Card".
Function Upgrade option is required to Color Copy (Duplex and Electronic Sort), Scanner (Scan to Email and Scan to Folder, Encryption PDF transmission), Printer (Electronic Sort Color) , PDF Direct Print, PictBridge, Print Job Spool, Sample/Locked/Hold/Store/Store and Print, Adobe PostScript3), Fax (Internet Fax and IP-Fax, Inbound Fax forwarding to PC,Direct SMTP), Security (Basic, LDAP and NT Authentication, Data Overwrite Security) and Error Notification on System Status and SDK.
You think they would put this on the brochure or make some mention of this somewhere, anywhere other CC Cafe, and they were six weeks late in getting the information there!
Hey Ricoh, Sales people have to be perfect, if they are not they usually must bear the burden of making things right with the customer (our customer). I thinks it's about time you gave up with some FREE function upgrade cards for your loyal customers and your loyal salespeople and your loyal dealers~
