In the past, I have steered clear (if possible) of demonstrating our Scan-to-File capabilities as they were marginal at best. KIP and others adjust image quality pixel by pixel. Just now I was creating a couple of samples and stumbled across the "Drawing" format. The difference between normal Character Mode and Drawing is unbelievable. This is the mode to use most if not all the time. My original is a 30 year old very dark mylar. The Auto Image copy and Scan-to-File print are extremely close in quality. I think Ricoh has finally got it right!
