Ok, here's a strange one. We just got an Aficio 2051 in from our wholesaler without print/scan. However, they did have the print/scan option in a box. We installed the SD card, NIC card, and the parallel(1284) card. Not sure if the 256mb card comes with the print/scan option as it wasn't in the box. The problem is that the damn thing doesn't work. We get a SC 819 code when we boot up the m/c. So we then tried updating the firmware to see if that was the problem but when we put the service SD card in we get the SC 819 code as well. The m/c works alright as just a copier but we need the print/scan option to work as well. The current firmware is version 1.19.1 which of course is an older version. However, we can't update the darn thing since it codes out with the SD card in the slot. We've printed a SP log off and the SC detail description says "VM is Full". Could this all be from not having the 256mb card in? The cryptic part is that even with the print option and NIC and parallel cards out we still can't update the firmware. I don't think there is anything wrong with the service SD card since it works in other machines just fine. Any ideas? Thanks Ryan.
