Advance Business Systems Wins Savin Ichiban Award for Top Sales Nationwide

NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Cockeysville, MD, United States, 04/16/2009 - Advance Business Systems has won the Savin Ichiban Award for being #1 in sales of Savin office equipment nationwide. "Ichiban," which means 'number one', is a cheer that Ricoh Americas Corporation's Chairman and CEO, Kirk Yoshida, is known for.

Advance Business Systems today announced it has been awarded the Ichiban Award by Savin for achieving the highest sales revenues in the country for the 2007 fiscal year (April 1, 2007 – March 31, 2008).

While Savin has not recognized a dealer for highest revenue since 2002, as of FY2007, the corporation decided to resurrect the honor and call it the Ichiban Award.

“‘Ichiban’, which means 'number one', is a cheer that our Chairman and CEO, Kirk Yoshida, of Ricoh Americas Corporation is known for,” says Don Degner, Savin Executive Dealer Sales Manager for the South East Region. “The company decided it was a perfect tribute to name the award in his honor.”

The Ichiban Award was presented to Advance at the Savin Connections National Dealer meeting at the World Center Marriott in Orlando Florida, February 23.

“Advance Business Systems is a very valued dealer partner. The commitment and excellence in business which Advance brings to our dealer channel is exemplary. Advance has received awards from Savin many times in the past 12 years as a dealer. Their accomplishments are truly exceptional,” says Mark Conant, Regional Vice President for the South Region of Ricoh U.S.

In addition to the Ichiban Award, Advance has earned numerous sales awards from Savin including the President’s Award in 2005 and 2006.

“Since we opened our doors 45 years ago, Advance has always strived to provide our customers with the industry’s best technology backed by our unsurpassed service commitment,” says Advance Business Systems’ Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Elkin. “This award is validation that our passion to this commitment resonates with our customers.”

Celebrating its 45th year in business this July, Advance Business Systems is privately owned and operated, and is the leading independent document solutions provider in Maryland.

Advance (advancestuff.com) provides custom solutions for electronic document management, managed print services, networked digital copiers, printers, scanners, wide format equipment, fax solutions and paper shredders.
