Went to this machine yesterday, it has a blank display, the "door open", "Add toner" and "wrench" LEDs are on.
This is a classic, I say to myself. A shorted toner motor has blown the BCU. Never heard of it on a big machine but have seen plenty on the 3220 and 3245s.
Replaced the toner motor and BCU and sameo, sameo.
Curses.
Unplugged the Finisher, DF, pulled out the cassettes, duplexer, fuser, unplugged the cleaner, transfer and developer unit.
Same thing.
Now I am starting to get worried.
I didnt have a point to point with me so I called RDC. No hits on the problem but sounded like it was supplying 5V but no 24V.
So I started pulling plugs and in the end no joy was in sight.
I am going back Monday with a point to point and do a more systematic search.
Just wondering if any of you have seen this on this series?
Any help would be appreciated.
