I have a potential customer who claims that he has a bid from a competitor for a Color machine (minumum 45 pages per minute in black and white) with print/scan/scan-to-email/fax with a saddle-stitch finisher and a 9-bin mailbox.

He wants me to bid apples-to-apples.

1. I think the 3245C SPF would be ideal, but it has no 9-bin mailbox. (I have heard rumors that there are sometimes ways to attach these to models that don't list them as standard options through some special harness.) Any suggestions?

2. I've checked the websites of every brand carried locally; everyone else seems to have the same problem I do. Does anyone have any ideas who does have something like this? (If I can determine who I'm bidding against, I'll know their weaknesses.) The potential customer will not divulge ANY information other than the specifications. He's fair about it; he treats all of the other vendors the same way. I have a friend who works there, and he won't even tell her who is bidding.

3. His problem is simple. He has several departments who will be using the printer. He does not want to have to sort through everyone elses stuff to find his. He doesn't want to have to wait for it to print when he gets there (which eliminates locked print or any kind of print queue). Any other suggestions for solutions?
