2522 Printing | Print4Pay Hotel

I recently installed a 2522 on a network with a wireless LINKSYS router from Verizon. All laptops are hooked in wireless, but the 2522 is CAT5e into router. The first laptop had no problems with the install of RPCS, LAN Fax (both using TCP/IP Port) and netowrk TWAIN. The second Laptop, would not take any. It could ping the 2522 and the drivers were installed, but could not print/LAN Fax, nothing. I changed the port from TCP/IP to Smart Device Monitor and everything worked fine. Both laptops are identical (brought down from customers corporate office) Dells using XP Pro SP2. Any guesses why this happened?

Did you plug in to the "uplink" on the router?

The only thing hooked into the router with a wire besides the DSL modem is the 2522 which is plugged into port #2.

Try use WEB Image Monitor and then try connecting the lap top directly to the router. Check all firewall settings,.

Try turning off the firewall in windows and also any Nortons Internet Security or some such.
