A current 240W customer is considering upgrading to the W2400 but feels the machine is a bit on the tempermental side. The problem only occurs when they print from Catia and only about 20% of the time, The job comes into PB, fails to prints and then redlines the job. If you attempt to put the job status back to pending, it still does not print. If she opens and closes the paper drawer, puts the job status back to pending, it still does not help. The only way to get the job to print is to open the drawer, roll up some paper, cut, shut the drawer and then put the job status back to pending. I had a hardware tech check out the 240W mainframe and he could not duplicate the problem nor find anything wrong. I was thinking that maybe the PCI card or the cable are loose or going bad except that the problem only occurs when printing from Catia. Any thoughts or ideas? I am concerned that they will not upgrade with us if they feel the machine is too sensitive. Help!
