ABOUT "FOLLOWING" and RECEIVING EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS
One of the really nice things about the new Exchange software is how easy it is for Supporting Member to RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS about Topics you are "following", and having more control over managing ALL your notifications.
• You can follow a topic, • or an individual who's posts you like, • or follow YOUR OWN posts to see who's responding to them, or maybe asking you a question.
When you "follow", you receive a notice of new content sent to you via the email address you listed in your Profile.
Click the "FOLLOW" option in any topic. It's that easy.
INSTANT, DAILY, or WEEKLY NOTIFICATION ??
When you click "follow" you will be sent an email notification IF that topic is updated. In your PROFILE page, when you select "Edit Profile", you will see the "Notifications" option. Select from various notification options: instant email, daily digest of any notification, and weekly. You can CHANGE how your notifications of new posts get emailed to you by going into your PROFILE, clicking EDIT PROFILE, and then selecting "NOTIFICATIONS" to check/uncheck things. See graphic below.
For example, I "follow" this HELP Forum, receiving INSTANT email notifications of all new posts.
I also "follow" the Private Writer's forum and the Rotation.org's Admin forum, --getting DAILY email alerts of all new posts in those forums.
MANAGING ALL YOUR NOTIFICATIONS
Invariably, I get too excited and start following too many forums and posts. This floods my email inbox at times. So it's great to be able to see ALL MY NOTIFICATIONS in one place and control their options. This place is in my PROFILE.
1. Click your picture in the upper right hand corner of any screen to open your PROFILE.
2. Click the NOTIFICATIONS menu item to start managing.
