I disagree that you have to own the network in order to offer seat-based billing. Before I go into why, can we (imaging industry) please stop referring to Managed Services as MNS? No one in the IT world uses this term; it's industry jargon that makes you stand out as a copier dealer 1st and an IT Services provider 2nd. Managed IT Services, Managed Services...fine. I havn't seen one placement of the frontier in my territory yet. But that doesn't mean they aren't out there. I see the whole copier industry making a shift to A$ devices in the next 24 months or less, they have too. Price is the driving factor, I've heard it all about A4's, such as "A4's can't hold up to heavy volume", oh yea then why do I see laser printers with hundreds of thousands of prints on them and they weigh under 100lbs? Heck, I just came from an account that has 180K on a Ricoh...

Certainly not to come across as a conspiracy theorist (although that can sometimes be fun, too), but didn’t the video show that return shipping paperwork was lying on the platen glass on at least one of the copiers purchased? I wonder how many copiers in that NJ warehouse have shipping paperwork attached or simply lying under the ADF. Wouldn’t an identity thief looking to purchase a copier be able to browse the NJ warehouse looking for shipping paperwork from financial institutions and...

This was an article from the NY times over the weekend! SHIBATA-MACHI, Japan — When the ground shook violently on the afternoon of March 11, the ceiling collapsed in part of the huge Ricoh copier factory here, exposing the vents and wires above. The offices at the Ricoh plant near Sendai are still in disrepair; workers have focused on restoring the factory and production. The ceiling is still not fixed. fisher....thanks for sharing your picture. First impression when I saw this was the way over-sized LCD control panel which is disproportionate from the top of the unit. Another thing was the small not so robust doc feed and how tall that unit is. How much does the doc feed hold? What size in the platen glass? Does the pages come out back to front or right to left? What are those drawer capacities? Looks like they can hold 2 reams, but I doubt that. Are those stabilizers on the bottom so the...

WOW GBC unit $15,000!!!. I was told MSRP of $7000.00 and $835.00 per die. Ricoh will stock the 6 most common dies and others you could get from GBC. I wonder what the real price will be. I never expected it to be a "cheap" add on but I hope It is less then 15,000.00

Think of the 4101 as a 1013F that is 25 ppm and had color scanning. What I mean is the 1st copy time is a SLOW 12 seconds!!!The platen is 8.5x11 only, 30 sheet ADF (not ARDF), it only ways 70lbs. where the 2022 is 188lbs. w/o the ARDF. It appears to not have any speed or quick dials, no finishing...I don't even think it has zoom. Maximum paper capacity is only 1600 sheets (600 standard). The difference between a StreamPunch III and the Pro is: Provides a new heavy-duty clutch for stronger punching capability. Bypass mode allows media that are supported by the printer to be by-passed directly to the SR5000 Finisher, the SR5020 Booklet Finisher, or the SK5010 High Capacity Stacker. The StreamPunch III added an unnecessarily long paper path to un-punched paper. The StreamPunch Pro includes new optional heavy-duty Pro die sets. These die sets: · Last up to 8 times longer than...

Re: GBC ProClick Pronto 3000

The heavy duty die sets are more expensive. The regular die sets are made of white metal. As a by product of the punching process, the die sets get quite hot. The regular die sets expand and begin to lose their shape over time. This is why they need to be replaced every 200-300k punches. It is recommended that a user buys two die sets and exchanging them every second hour if they are doing a lot of punching.

We had a similar problem. You'll notice if you go into the SP settings that they're still set correctly. Option "4" in our case, which was activation of both rolls and the 8" x 12" feed tray, but the LCD only shows the Bypass Tray option. This can be corrected by going into user tools, and selecting 1 system settings, 3 key op tools, 5 tray problem settings, and changing tray problem settings to "do not use bypass tray". When you reboot the machine you have the options to use roll 1, 2,...

Re: 240W Paper Shredding Problem

We make it a common practice when, replacing a roll of paper. After manually feeding and cutting the paper the knife sometimes cycles, this is what causes the little slivers of paper. To stop this, retract the paper back approx half an inch from cutter using the feed roller. Then let the cutter and roll cycle.
