Selling Copiers "Did We Create Our Own Commodity"?

Art Post ·
Since I've been selling in the industry for far too long, I've been able to see the transition the industry has taken over the years with our products. Years ago copier sales people not only sold the products, but we were also...

COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Sixty of Sales

Art Post ·
While most of the US continues to open the State of New Jersey continues to plod at a snails pace. Our Governor lifted the "stay at home" order however still instructed the masses that it's not time to go back to the office. WTF! A report surfaced last night that stated COVID19 could have been present in China as early as the summer of 2019. Again it's just a theory but sounds reasonable since the article spoke about satellite surveillance of hospitals and the marked increases of vehicles.

Keep it going thru your lockdown! Real life even though other states have opened. Shows how you work thru this mess and succeed.

Fun Fact: it's easier to move an office downstairs than it is to move a wide format MFP upstairs.

Hey Art! I’d be sad to see your daily posts go away, but I bet it’d be freeing for your time? It’s always interesting to hear what you’ve got cooking and your words motivate me to keep grinding harder. But with all you’ve got going on, I’d imagine a once per day post like you do takes half hour or more? Its crazy how time just slips away from you isn’t it? I had several phone calls today that should have been shorter and usually I would make them shorter, but you can tell the “work from...

@TML Thanx for support! Yes, 30-45 minutes for one blog, sometimes easy to write and sometimes it's hard to find the right words. All in all I enjoy writing them and trying to help others. We're all in this together, we all love what we do and sharing with others makes us all stronger. Wide format installs, yup we probably do need to find a rigging company also. Thanx again for the reply and hoping we can meet sometime in the near future. How is the baby?

Selling Copiers in the Eighties with John Furlong

John and I connected a few months ago via Linkedin. I noticed that John's tenure with the office equipment industry was similar to mine and asked him if he'd like to be our next guest for Selling Copier in the Eighties. Selling Copiers in the Eighties with John Furlong Art: How did you find your way into the copier industry? John: I graduated from college in June 1981 with a marketing degree and I spent the summer looking for a sales job. I was offered a sales position with Paul Burden Ltd...

Stair Climber Choices (Photocopiers exclusively)

AC68 ·
Good afternoon all, We are a small reseller in Australia looking at buying our first stair climbing machine. Our deliveries/relocations are frequent enough along with the costs high enough (from our logistics providers) to seriously start looking for our own machine. Hoping to get some recommendations from you good folk on which climbers would be fit for purpose. If it helps we sell Canon, Ricoh and Toshiba devices & hope you can recommend a brand that has hopefully stood the test of...

We've been using the Escalera stair climbers for almost 30 years. We still have or original one that has been refurbished a couple of times.
