I believe it's location, location, location. What is usually hot in the city is not always taken up as practice in rural areas. With the help of units being able to email meter reads it removes the "annoying" part of collection meter reads. I am with the first guy as I am a long timer(35 years) and agree with his assessment

Ray Stasiezcko ·
Well, I am old timer too my friend. However, I learned along time ago geography does not stop progress. The new competitor who comes to the rural landscape won't deliver by the rules of the old way. I would image back when C.P.C took the place of the previous contract type. Many in the rural areas thought well, that will never happen out here. Well it did.

I mentioned in the previous blog that we had our Kickoff Sales meeting for 2020 yesterday. Rather than drive the three hours home I opted to stay over night and leave first thing in the AM. 2019 was a very good year, I was back in President's Club for the 7th time, got me a $50 gift card for winning a contest at our branch. Maybe an old timer like me can win the Grand Prize next week, we'll see we have some talented peeps and all will be out for the glory. It's time to bring out the old dog...

The side-by-side that Mr. Copy posted was for the MP C4500 SPF, which includes fax. The revised attachment shows the MP C4500 for a more apples-to-apples comparison. Please note that copy/scan/print are all standard on the Ricoh, while scanning is optional on the Xerox.

I just did some experimenting with a 1035 to make sure I wasn't imagining things. When I set auto delete to 1 day, scan and store a document, change the system timer date to any date 1 or more days in the future, the stored docs delete from both the doc server area and the scanned doc store area. Seems to work like I thought. The only thing I can think of, is making sure the system timer calendar and clock are set right. I didn't make any other setting changes. That doesn't mean there isn't...

Yes. I sold one an hour and a half away from my office and it took me two wasted visits to reproduce the issue when the customer complained. There is a setting called "Eco Night Sensor" or something to that effect. Turn it off. The setting is in the web interface under the timer settings. It is a setting that is easy to overlook and is now found on a couple other printers as well.
