Thanks for the link Art. The pricing listed in this post is SIGNIFICANTLY below cost on all the products listed above (C900, Finisher, PerfectBinder, RingBinder, etc). If this pricing post scares the competitors to Ricoh and helps drive down costs on competitive units for the p4p community ... then great. It appears that is a legend. I couldn't find any federal law covering that, but here are some state laws covering it... Parts Availability Laws Can your item be repaired? If parts are required, are they available to a servicer? In some states, the answer may be "no." California: 7 years after date of manufacture for goods with a wholesale value of $100 or more, 3 years for items valued at $50 to $99.99. This law covers functional parts only. Connecticut: 4 years after the date of final sale.

Several years back, I installed a fleet of Gestetner 60ppm MFP's in a large private school in DFW. The day after they were installed, a teacher decided to make transparencies (this was only 6 years ago, but they still used them) on the new machine. She made the mistake of grabbing transparencies that were not approved for use on a high-speed copier and proceeded to melt several transparencies onto the fusing unit.
