Back in August 2010 I was told the following, "Although PPDM does address the PDF/A format, the copiers only support PDF/I for image.... Type f and later copiers will support PPDM without fail, the older copiers are an "iffy" solution as per Ricoh Tech Support." This was in response to the US District Court asking for PDF-A formatting.

What Firmware level would this be? the latest version of firmware on the TSC site is level 1.05.1D (posted back in early August)and we have that on our machines, but no SMTP authentication. I know you can do this on the 1075 thru the web browser, but haven't seen this on the 2035/45. In reply to "what does this do?" Well, I solved the mystery. It seems that on August 1, (or nowaccording to the Savin & Ricoh websites) we will become a Savin dealer and not a Ricoh dealer any more. It seems that through all the reorganization, Ricoh is opening up a RBS in our area and adding another Ricoh dealer. The bosses have decided to be the only Savin dealership here instead of having 4 Ricoh dealers in this area. Nothing will change from a pricing or tech standpoint. I now have to learn all new model numbers.
