John, The PrintCopy Tool compares pretty favorably to Plotworks. I attached two documents to this post. The Product Support Guide lists differences between the two products. The PowerPoint has screen shots of all the settings in PrintCopy Tool. I hope this helps.

Thanks very much and LOL about the paragraphs, you are right about that! So if I am understanding this correctly, I need to put the wireless print server next to the 4420NF and run a short CAT5 cable to it? I then can input an IP address into the 4420NF and tell the printer driver what it is. Or maybe it will assign one automatically under DHCP? I would then find it on the 4420NF and input that when settin up the driver? LAstly, do I need to do anything with the router if I use the wireless...

BTW, John and I spoke on the phone, he wasn't referring to my "what's the error?" post Error: Undefined usually indicates data corruption or communication loss. It is not usually a true "Error". In a true PS error, there is a problem with the PS code, in an Undefined error, there is usually either no code or garbage.

However, my current boss has provided neither my co-worker nor myself any real sales training. He won't even demonstrate how to sell (we think it's because he can't). You have a good point with the dual componet color from Canon. If I remember correctly the pitch from Canon was the developer mixed with toner is your monocomponet, which will keepprint and copy quality very good over the long haul because you never run low on developer like the dual process that everyone else uses. When it comes to Canon's Pro units, I don't know if these are dual or single, what I can tell you is that I prefer the halftones on dual better, but the knock is that as the...

Talked with a technician there and he asked if our readers where compatabile to the MIFARE cards so the door cards might work. I have a followup meeting setup for Thursday with the GM. I'll get a card from him so we can do a trial run, before offering the complete solution. Thanks for your input. Sounds like I got some homework to do.

We often give cusotmers 2 options, we might consider offering this and the 9025b with print scan. They are about the same price you can either get 25ppm with 11x17 and rotate sort or you can get 47ppm and scan2flashdrive and print2 flash drive. Any feedback or input would be greatly appreciated.

I thought that 1 mm would be acceptable as well. I think that it is hard to compete trying to sell a dup and a tc11 when there is competitive 1 pass system that will lay two colors well and consistently. I wonder if, in the long term, the RICOH will stay consistent with a certain margin on movment, and the riso will start going all over the place. That I do not know, but that is the argument my higher ups are sticking to. I appreciate everyones input. Thanks again, Brian

The bad news is that even though the system is connected and printing, my plan to store the tabbed sections individually and print the job as a whole to the doc server still did not work. It will print up to 90 copies per minute even on heavy stock weights up to 300 gm2, with duplexing at full speed. The sheet format is SRA3 (the maximum is 33.2 x 487.7 mm) and there’s provision for up to 11,000 sheets (80 gm2) in the input trays. Resolution will be a “true 1,200 dpi,” and Ricoh says it has developed a new toner that offers both wide colour gamut and fusing at lower temperatures, allowing a wider range of stocks to be handled. It will be able to handle coated papers and...
