This Week in the Copier Industry 10 Years Ago, The Second Week in September 2003
I took the time to re-read and correct some of the grammar and spelling issues that plagued me from many years ago. I'm a copier sales person and not an English major. Please excuse typo's or grammar. Anyway, I must have wrote this after the Ricoh purchase of Ikon and the title "MFP Wars". After the re-read, I realized that we're still fighting the MFP Wars, whether it's the low cost per pages that are low balled or the continuing battle of A3 vs A4. Somethings never change. Enjoy the...

Polek & Polek Delivers Excellent Customer Support and Imaging Supplies by Sled
A couple of years ago I wrote a blog this titled, "Polek & Polek Delivers Toner Supplies to Dealers by Sled". With an impending snow storm forecasted for the North East. I thought the snippet below would be appropriate! " I think about back to our early days of being in business when we still operated out of my fathers house. There was a long, steep driveway to get to the house. When heavy snowstorms were forecast, it was impossible to get a car up and...

IT Security, Compliance Become a Difficult Balancing Act
Organizations in health care and virtually every sector have been challenged significantly of late when it comes to protecting information from breach, exposure, theft and loss, as so many threats have emerged in such a small period of time. The cost of experiencing a major data breach is going up quickly as the years pass, and the rate of entities (healthcare providers) to not have been impacted by one of these events is falling fast as well. These are some of the many reasons why...

Five Reasons Why You Should Attend BTA Spring Break @ The Grand Floridian
I'm all in when it comes to an educational event, especially when it's at The Grand Floridian located in Disney World. I'm also a big fan of getting out of cold and damp North East in late March. Maybe think about booking a few extra days and make it a mini work vacation trip. The BTA rate for the Hotel is pretty incredible. Reason One: BTA is offering two for one registration for BTA Members. Thus two attendees can attend for the price on one. Reason Two: Where their is mystery there is....

This Week in the Copier Industry 10 Years Ago (3rd Week of January 2007)
It's been while since I posted the last one. Now that I have a little more time, I'll be back to posting this series one a week. There's a thread below titled "Who Needs 11x17?". It's been ten years now for A4 devices and I feel that most manufacturers have held back from developing advanced A4 devices. When it comes down to it, it's all about profit and the manufacturers don't want to ruin there A3 business. Come to think of it, none of the manufacturers are really killing it with A4.
