I received the below message via email yesterday. It's from Kevin Clune (President of Clune & Company LLC). I've known Kevin for years and appreciate his insight with leasing. Art, we haven’t talked in years but I still follow p4p. Re: Ditching the Polo Shirt Can Increase Your Sales

Jason H ·
It's becoming the norm it seems. I wear a polo if I am in the office for the day, but wear a dress shirt for meetings. I have not worn the tie in quite some time unless it was a major account type of deal. I found that most don't care if you wear a tie or not. I had one customer in a corporate office setting see me putting my tie on in my car out his window and when I walked in he told me to take it off and never wear a tie in his office again because it made him uncomfortable because he...

Art, you're right. National Azon is a great asset to us as reps to hit the AEC vertical. In addition they also sell just stand alone large format scanners. I worked with them (but didn't win) on an opportunity at a state archive for scanning super old documents. The rep was super helpful and if it weren't for a prior relationship we would have won. Also, they offer a pretty robust media selection for wide format. We've got several customers we order media for from these guys. They have a...

How Authenticity Can Maximize Your Prospecting Results

Larry Levine ·
Authenticity is one of the biggest challenges for salespeople in a profession riddled with scrupulous, fake and disingenuous sales reps; that quite frankly many buyers despise them. However, authenticity separates sales reps from sales professionals and this is what buyers want! It may sound a bit touchy-feely but set aside some alone time, take a look inside yourself as sales is all about building credible, genuine and real relationships. A Halloween Tale of an A3 Copier’s Death As the copier homicide unit arrived, the scene was familiar. The office hallway barely lit the trash can next to the copier was laying on its side, the window was broken from the inside and when looking out one can see an A3 Copier laying smashed on the sidewalk below. Recognizable by the owners manual still taped to the broken 11/17 paper drawer and the rainbow color on the sidewalk created by splattering CMYK toner. Yes, it appears there was another...

I always like to start these Christmas blogs with a small story about Christmas tradition in other countries. In Ireland, people celebrate Christmas in much the same way as people in the UK and the USA , but they also have many of their own Christmas traditions and customs. Christmas for Irish people, who are Catholics, lasts from Christmas Eve to the feast of Epiphany on January 6th, which some Irish people call 'Little Christmas'.
