John, The PrintCopy Tool compares pretty favorably to Plotworks. I attached two documents to this post. The Product Support Guide lists differences between the two products. The PowerPoint has screen shots of all the settings in PrintCopy Tool. I hope this helps.

Re: MPS and Linux HELP!
So some clarification first. PaperCut absolutely does support Mac. In fact, it is the only cost recovery/print control solution that I know of that actually installs in an all Mac environment. (Server and Client) It also is the only solution I know of that installs in a Linux environment. So both of your issues are solved with PaperCut. I included the install guides for Mac and Linux to get you started.

Re: Industrial Label Printers
We sold two copiers recently to a Window & Door Manufacturer. One of the copiers had 4k clicks on it in less than a week so we thought we would have a good revenue stream. I have been thinking about these Label printers so I asked the client about how they use the ones that they already have. I was floored when the client told me that they plan to spend $100k this year on labels alone.

Re: Ricoh unveils space-saving A4 multi-functional printers for offices and workgroups
Let's wait to see if these may be the best of both worlds. Comparing Ricoh to Canon, both of them are taking their first crack at monochrome A4 MFPs, so while they are competing against one another, they're primarily competing against perception that existing users of products from HP, Lexmark, Samsung & Xerox. From the TCO perspective, these should still blow HP's M4555 out of the water, at least as long as customers are buying OEM cartridges. Ricoh's A4 products will be great for Ricoh...

Born in '69, thanks for the stroll down memory lane. Never failed a grade, but failed a test, ate worms, walked in my friends house without knocking and they did the same at my house. Re: Citrix
This is a tough environement to work in. My IT leader is out for the week on vacation - so I can't get you any info until she returns. Printing is OK. The hook is in scanning. Citrix is nearly the same as Terminal Server - you know - "orange screens" that look like DOS screens. Normal window functionality doesn't work. Now our solution involved scanning to a folder on the network that both Citrix users and windows users could see. We scanned it there via the windows platform. Once the PDF...

Select that as the printer to print to when you click ok it will pop up the LanFax window that allows you to enter the tel number, a cover page, etc. If this is not happening make sure you downloaded the NT4 LanFax driver for the 2035/2045 and reinstall the driver. Re: 2090 Doc Server Application
Hey Guys, Once again, thanks for all the help on this one. The bad news is that even though the system is connected and printing, my plan to store the tabbed sections individually and print the job as a whole to the doc server still did not work. I thought that I had worked around my problems by using DTB to combine the multiple sections and send them to the doc server as a single job and then apply print settings. However, DTB will not allow the user to print to the doc server. So, I'm back...

Re: Global buysCOMDOC...yes you heard correct!
When a dealer is purchasing a dealer, this is the general guideline. Ignoring cost of funds, the company I buy will pay for itself in five years if you follow this model. Sooner if you improve results after buying the company. BUT. When a manufacturer buys, this goes out the window. If COMDOC was a $150M company, doing $75M in equipment sales with Ricoh, Xerox just bought a $75M sales gain along with the manufacturer margins that go with those sales. So every year they get the $15M we think...

Re: Unable to Duplex Print from Mac 10.5 using InDesig
Cut and pasted from the Adobe forums: I upgraded to InDesign CS4 a month or so ago. I'm using a 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, Mac OS X 10.5.7, and having trouble printing to two different printers. I had a margin issue with an HP Color Laser 5550, where I never had one before. Then today, I discovered that I could not duplex print to a HP Laser 3005, again this was never a problem with CS3. So needless to say this thread was required reading for me. Of course, the pdf work-around worked.

Re: How do you manage Letter of Intent dates for your customers?
The only time I send them in is if I am going to switch leasing companies or when it is absolutely necessary. The letter of intent triggers all sorts of monkey business at the leasing companies.....all of which the leasing companies will deny ever happens....even though I've caught them red handed several times. Re: How do you manage Letter of Intent dates for your customers?
The only time a letter of intent is required is if you are moving to a new leasing company and taking out your competitor. If you are the paper holder then no letter of intent is needed as you can upgrade to return or keep and all the transaction is internal with the leasing company. If a letter is needed make sure it is sent in certified to protect the customer. Leasing companies like to play games after they get these letters. They will call the customer and try to convince them to buy the...

Re: Question to Print Audit on PA Forum
Hi Art, Unfortunately, this is a known limitation of Print Audit 5. Plot Client WIN (and other similar plot-submission tools) bypass the Windows print drivers when they generate multiple copies the file you are plotting. As a result, Print Audit 5 can only detect the first copy being generated, and will only report that one page was printed. While there is currently no way to have Print Audit automatically track the number of plots being generated, there are a couple of workarounds that you...

You can meet their needs with an 11x17 printer (if needed) and then have the MFP for the rest of the document volume! Heck, what does a C4500 sell for with finishing and paper trays?

Since the files were printed with an HPGL/2 driver, it wasn't the fault of our driver.
