Due to image quality, is recommended for transactional, transpromotional and direct mail applications.....Reminds me when I used to sell Riso and we made this disclaimer!!...Not great copy quality but if you are wanting something that is cheap and fast, we have it for you!!

Re: Need HELP! Kyocera Color A3 question

dimaxusa ·
Top three points I make when against Kyocera. #1. Take them color samples from your device and any Kyocera because the color output is sub par on all units. If you don’t have access to one look in your crm for an account you co-exist with Kyocera in. Or the next time you have a knock out make some samples and keep them in a binder. If color quality is important to the customer it will be a win. Another point is showing them you get what you pay for, meaning 3 tier color is what they have...

Art, we've got a rep that covers York / Gettysburg and he confirmed this. He said he heard it went down ~ 6 months ago and they started reaching out to clients towards the end of 2019 to let them know. Gonna be a big change as Quality had a lot of loyal clients (also were giving away service at rates like .003 & .032- > I've gotta imagine that'll change quickly)

Re: Samsung Copier Million Page Test "A Tree Massacre"

Art, I think Samsung needed to do this test to shut the mouths of the critics. Now anyone who wonders or asks if the Samsungs are reliable will get a link to this test. My Service guys tell me that the Samsungs have been working well! And the new MX series with the Android (OS) Tablet has been very cool. That wish list item that you asked Ricoh for has already been delivered by Samsung! I have just worked with a 3rd party tech company to get the first non-Samsung Android App ported to the...

Seems my Blog about the million page test was not that well received with Samsung. They complained to ENX Magazine who then pulled the blog off their site. Whatever happened to FREE Press? They were not happy that I pointed out that they used "x" amount of tree's for a 1980's type test! Since Samsung spends money with ENX, ENX pulled the blogs and is not posting any of my latest stuff. You know what, as far as I'm concerned we here this finance stuff about Sharp, Toshiba and none of the...

Yes I have sold a couple of these. For the price these are fantastic. My service manager is impressed which is hard to do. Dual side scanning is a definite selling point. The cost per page is going to be higher of course. I would say in the .015 black and white and .11 color to be safe (depending on your market of course). Not as good as say the 6535 per say but the machine is less than half the cost. If the run more than a couple thousand a month I would move them up to the 6535cidn. Let me...

Re: Ricoh Launches New Aficio MFPs With App2Me Solution

txeagle24 ·
I've had customers say that it is "cool" and that they will install that on every PC instead of regular print drivers (what a nightmare that would be), but when it comes down to it, they just do what they are accustomed to. It would be much more useful if it would work w/ mobile Android/iPhone/Blackberry such as smartphones and tablets. Since it only works on Windows-based PC's, its usefulness is extremely limited.

Re: Cloud Poll

Evernote has a pitiful share of mind of business professionals, no pro IT manager is likely to advise transition of share of mind to this "upstart" provider. Microsoft and Google are forever the "big dog" players, so concentrate on them and their associate players like UDOCx. The big players are, however, weak in the mobile space, so place attention to Cortado and its partners. There is going to be a lot of demand for iPad, Android and Blackberry wireless printing capabilities in 2011, right...

2011 is a transition year. It is no longer about Microsoft vs the World. It is about iPad and Android OS vs Microsoft. Remenber it was only two years ago that Laptops outsold desktops. It was only this year that Smartphones outsold laptops. The MFP Manufacturers have not quite yet identified who the Business Consumer will put their money down on yet for Cloud Services. New Cloud providers are offering free 2GB-5GB Storage space for consumers, in the hopes that they will learn and like their...

Re: MP 301 Mobile Printing Solution

Art Post (Guest) ·
I've sold it with the updated firmware, where you can print from an apple device within the users network. We have not tried with Android yet. There may also be the email2print feature which allows the MFP to have it's own email address and thus you would forward an email with an attachment to the MP301. Anyone else have more on this?

Re: MP 301 Mobile Printing Solution

For either Android or iOS, you can also use the Smart Device Print App as long as they are on the same wireless network as the device they want to print to. What I like about the app is the ability to apply finishing, use Locked/Stored/Hold Print & allow the client to use User Codes. I don't know if you can do that with AirPrint on iOS devices.

Re: MP 301 Mobile Printing Solution

It's in both the Apple App Store Apple App Store & Google Play Google Play . For iOS, it will print all types of Office files as well as images. On Android, it only prints images, web pages opened in the application or text saved to the clipboard.

There is a Ricoh ap available for apple and android. with the ricoh ap you can use ID codes, select B&W or cololur. It is quite simple to use and my customers seem to really like it.

Re: Air Print for Metis

The Smart Device Print&Scan app works pretty well for both iOS & Android and does give you some advanced functionality in terms of finishing, Locked Print and more. Some formatting does get screwed up, but I'm not sure if that's the fault of the app or not. I do hope AirPrint is approved for this series by Apple soon. Some customers are used to using that at home on their $100 printer and are somewhat annoyed that it won't work on their expensive business-class system.

Re: Air Print for Metis

One cool thing you can do with the Smart Device Print app(Android) is share things to the printer. Basically you open a picture or PDF or whatever print ready item and click on the share button the 3 connected dots in the shape of a v and then scroll down past facebook, e-mail etc to Smart Device Print and it connects and prints. Good way to do a mobile print app is take a picture of the customer by the machine and print it out. With practice you can do this very fast and its a nice stunt.

We got ours for the demo room last week. It is MUCH more responsive than the standard display. If you know how to use Android displays, this is a piece of cake. The "Quick" functions add more key touches for basic jobs, but I can see how some users would prefer it. It definitely adds a WOW factor if you set it up right.
