Plain Paper Fax's with Thermal Imaging

Does anyone remember these? Brother was a big user for this technology. I remember telling potential clients that when they threw away the cartridge I could read every fax received. Worked wonders for our laser fax sales. Pulling out the cartridges and stripping the film worked wonders! Anyone have any cool stories with this type of technology?

There was an early color copier technology that worked similarly about 30 years ago. Same results if you rolled back the film.
