yep mp 6000, mp 7000 mp 8000 with the new mpc 4000 and mpc5000 which are upgraded versions of the mpc 3500 and 4500. I hope they are better than the mp 4000 and mp 5000!!

We do this all the time. 3500 B/w @ .011= $38.50 and 1500 Color @ $.066=$99 w/a Total count of $137.50... By doing this you lock the customer in with you for a lease when the lease comes up for the next term the competitor has to buyout the maintenance portion as well. As you all know.... This goes on all the time.

When ever I'm up against Xerox, the service is usually cheaper because we charge by linear feet. The price is usually lower as well, with about 3500 on the deal. Although I sent some quotes out to Atl. and I was 2k over, so..... Good luck my friend, you've got the best product.

More thoughts on this... The cost savings involved in only supporting Legal vs. Tabloid is largely based on the fact that you have a smaller drum. You suggest that the HPs would be faster if they fed "long edge first". In order to do that they'd need a larger drum, negating the cost savings you proposed earlier. I think your idea has some merit though. I could see having 1 model, used for bids, that would give us this "just a little bit less" philosophy. Perhaps as a subset of the 3500/4500...

Slight correction...both the IM 430F and the IM 430Fb are 43 ppm. Additional info...the 430F (SP 501) has a Service Maintenance platform while the 430Fb (SP 502) has a User Maintenance platform. The SP 510 and SP 502 are printer only versions of their respective MFP's. As far as I know, the SP's and the IM 350 (350F without a standard fax) have not been launched yet. It is interesting to note that the service training does not reference the MP 301SPF or the MP 402SPF at all. The new IM units...

Re: IS300e scanner and CL7200 for color copying
I have placed some IS300e with CL7200 systems. But it has been awhile since I did that. The quality will not stand up to the new MP-C serics. You can't add fax. You don't have the same touch screen. And printer supplies are higher cost. I think the time of this combo has passed with the MP-C2500/3000/3500/4500 unless you are in a real price fight with a printer - scanner combo.

$90 for the first 3500 sq? (that's .026 per sq.) and sounds about right. I think you have two different plans confused though. 6 cents per square would be about right on mid-volume units if but would include paper and toner. Lately that's been trending upwards a penny or two however.

It is incorrect to consider the C3001 to be the replacement for the C3000. The C3000 went to the C3300 which went to the C3501. The C3001 is the newer version of the C2500 which became the C2800.
