Re: New Ricoh MP C2011SP A3 Color MFP??

slim463 ·
The MP C2011SP is a exclusive model for Taiwan/China/European Union. There is references to this model in MP C2003/ MPC2503 service/parts manual. The Ricoh Product code for that model is D237. The D176 (MPC2003) & D177 (MPC2503) are for US. With all that said....That doesn't mean Ricoh could change their mind and release that model in the US. But from the manual, it would look redundant to current gen equivalent models. I'll keep my eye open.

The year is 2039. It's hard to believe that it's been 15 years since the mighty Xerox Corporation folded. One remembers that statement in December of 2018 that touted Xerox "Unable to Adjust". The share price of Sharp Corp. rose 9.13 percent to close at the day's high of 215 Japanese yen on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Tuesday. The rally was seen as a positive response to Taipei-based Hon Hai Group Chairman and founder Terry Gou's announcement in Tokyo a day earlier that he is committed to finalizing an agreement to take a capital stake in the struggling Japanese electronics firm. Speaking at a news conference for a Taiwanese trade delegation visiting Japan, Gou said the details of...

The 100-year-old inventor of mechanical pencils needs to pen a new plan to make it to 101. Sharp Corp. (6753), Japan’s biggest liquid-crystal display maker, put up its Osaka headquarters and some plants as collateral last week to win bank loans after its credit ratings were cut to junk. The supplier to Apple Inc. (AAPL) is also renegotiating a stock sale to Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology Group as it tries to recover from record losses and a 70 percent slump in shares this year. Re: Ricoh Stops Operations at three key plants!!

Hey Art, Didn't notice your question till now. I do not know for sure. I know that so much of the hardware are built in China/Taiwan/etc and that most Japan-based manufacturing facilities are nowhere near the tsunami zone, so there is no actual damage to the plants. That said, the factories, shipping operations, and corporate HQs are certainly not back to business as usual so I would think there would be some disruption. I was at the Sharp dealer meetings and Ed McLaughlin said that their...

Re: Warranty on Ricoh copier parts

Darren .... ·
I doubt it directly from Ricoh. Most Hard Drive manufacturers cover the hard drive anywhere from 1 to 3 years. You have to go directly to them for that. I did years ago when a hard drive failed on an AF450. It depends on the manufacture and if it was originally purchased by Ricoh and shipped to Singapore or Taiwan, this might have an impact on whether the Mfg will ship a warranty replacement to a different country.

Japan’s Sharp is making dull promises to reform, but it’s hard to see a path to recovery for the struggling electronics maker. The company on Tuesday reported a 7.2 billion yen ($61 million) net loss in the nine months to December, and now sees a 30 billion yen net loss for the full fiscal year ending in March. That is versus earlier guidance of a 30 billion yen profit. This is especially disappointing because it was only last fiscal year that Sharp raised fresh equity and posted a narrow...
