John, The PrintCopy Tool compares pretty favorably to Plotworks. I attached two documents to this post. The Product Support Guide lists differences between the two products. The PowerPoint has screen shots of all the settings in PrintCopy Tool. I hope this helps.

Re: Sharp Helps Dealers 'Align' for Success at 2009 National Dealer Meeting
Sostilio & Associates did not have a very favorable review of the SHARP 'Align 09' Dealer Show and mentioned that SHARP "did little and offered less to neither raise the attendee’s spirits nor make a good argument to be a Sharp dealer if you want to sell A3 product." Moreover, there wer no 'show promotions' and during the Awards Ceremony, SHARP Branch personnel were given awards. I was wondering if anyone attended this Align 09 Dealer Meeting and cared to provide feedback, since this...

Re: Around the World with Xerox
Testing concluded this evening for the Ducati Xerox team and riders Noriyuki Haga, Michel Fabrizio and Troy Bayliss. The three-day test session took place on Thursday, Sunday and today, with the first two days of testing coinciding with the first and last day of World Ducati Week, allowing the huge crowds of Ducatisti to witness an official testing session first hand. Noriyuki and Michel were on track on their factory 1198 bikes while Troy Bayliss, testing for the second time this season,...

Re: New BETA P4P Site
Well, trying the social thingy. My thoughts are with facebook, my space, and linkedin is that the next gen and some current members may like to social site better. I still have to tweak it, add links, add permissions and to create a better flow. I'll be off for two weeks soon and will put a lot time and run both sites to see how the page views are. I also run my blog and an end users forum. I was thinking I can tie them all into one site and thus would only have to maintain the traditional...

Re: Digi Doc Flow vs NSI
I, too, have only feedback regarding DDF. I have at least 6 placements who love it - easy to set-up and use. For the cost, which I cannot relate to the NSI product (Autostore, I assume), DDF has a nice bit of functionality - especially if sold as the basic + features package.

Re: Setup in wireless environment
Thanks for the feedback. To be on the safe side I ended up snaking a 100 foot Cat5 cable back to the fast ethernet switch. I just was not too sure on the stability or how to setup one of these units. When you plug the cat5 into the copier are you using the wireless print server or the wireless bridge? Some wireless print server do not have the bridge from what I read. Can someone explain how to configure one of these units so we all can learn. JasonR what make/model are you using?

I have been playing with app2me recently and can see some advanatages like when a mobile worker goes office to office they won't have to install drivers to print. If they have app2me installed and we have app2me enabled they will be able to print easily. I'm interested to see if anyone has taken this to market and how it has been recieved. Also at this time we include initial connectivity with the sale of our MFP products. I could see customers also wanted app2me manager installed on all...

Re: Color Print Control
Thanks for the feedback. txeagle24, I'm a little confused by this statement: there would be no black and white documents that would accidently use color toner. This sounds like you're talking about process black (which normally clicks as black). What I'm talking about is if the printing is not defaulted to B&W when the customer prints mapquest or something with a hyperlink it prints and clicks color. This is regardless of whether they have a toner inclusive agreement or not. If the...

I'd be very interested in what you find. I've done some testing in our office and seen that black pages click black and color click color. The main time I've seen problems is with Publisher. Thanks everyone for the feedback and advice. I did send them an email this morning regarding the Fiery could have been used from the K-M machine. Did not mention Paper Stock, I will make sure that is equal also. I don't have the machines in my showroom, but we do have them in the field, perhaps a field trip to a customer site is the way to go, showing them the samples right there. Then maybe K-M can do the same. Will let you all know when I do.

Now that this has been out for a little while I'm interested in everyone's feedback. Have you placed any? Do they seem reliable. We often give cusotmers 2 options, we might consider offering this and the 9025b with print scan. They are about the same price you can either get 25ppm with 11x17 and rotate sort or you can get 47ppm and scan2flashdrive and print2 flash drive. Any feedback or input would be greatly appreciated.

I've had this error come up a number of times. Even though the machine has paper loaded, it doesn't know it. Unloading and reloading both media rolls has always fixed it for me. Maybe the sensor feedback gets mixed up during a jam, sudden reboot, or anything else the machine's logic wasn't expecting.

Re: Sales Tips
Feedback, Feedback, Feedback. How is it that some people get better prices for the same products? Feedback. The higher your feedback the better prices you will command. You have to be faithful in posting feedback and ask your customers to post feedback for you. If you don't ask, it won't happen.

Re: Sales Tips
USING EMAIL FOR CUSTOMER FEEDBACK When planning your marketing, don't forget to double-back and "re-market" to the customers who have already purchased products. For instance, at the end of the month, email all of the customers who placed orders with your company. In the email, thank them for their business and inquire if they were happy about what they purchased from your company. Also, ask them how they would rate your customer service. You will be amazed at the response. Not only do you...

Re: Sales Tips
KEEP IT SIMPLE Just a few words of advice about your email correspondence. Keep your messages brief and to the point -- write only a few short paragraphs. Your writing style should be upbeat, but professional. Don't sprinkle your copy full of exclamation marks as this has a tendency to look phony! Rather, use strong transitions, dashes, interesting adjectives and crisp writing. Be sure to include all your contact information and a direct hot link to your site. Consider a closing signature...

Re: Sales Tips
Ask Why? People have all sorts of reasons for not buying or giving an objection, and you shouldn't take "no" personally. The more you can put your ego aside and gracefully accept the refusal, the more you learn from the experience. So, assume for the time being that you've been turned down and your business with this person is done. Make it clear that you've accepted the reply. If you're no longer trying to sell him, you and the buyer will be in a more neutral territory, and you'll have...

OK, I think I understand. I am a little bad at the technology portion of our business. I just like to sell. So as you said the RJ45 port on the NIC (the plug where the ethernet gets plugged in usally) you install this "bridge" from linksys or tiger direct for under $100.00 rather than using the RICOH version and save $200.00. My questions is, you mentioned you should maintain same functionality. That is a concern for me. If I take this to my technology department and then to service, I need...
