My experience with Ecopy desktop has been that it's pretty good for markups, (However matching fonts, etc... is tricky) but taking a document and importing it into Word leaves a little to be desired. I'm looking at Omnipage 17 and ABBYY FineReader. Does anyone have a magic bullet for scanning a document and opening it in Word and having it maintain layout and being editable? I know, I'm not asking for much

This scenario does not fall within the relm of PCL5 (or variable data print) since we are already dealing with a rendered document (PDF). Unfortunately, Dr. PCL5 is not able to prescribe the magic pill.
