Re: Ricoh Copy Output Tray for MP 9002

msaeger ·
Another route you can take with these discontinued options is to order the parts through service. For instance the product code for this one is B756 so if you were to go to rfg-esource and search for the product code there is a parts book for the copy tray option and you (service) can order the parts. I have needed to do this with things like fax options.

When you say you tried to order it do you mean the edp code for the option or the part number? Like the part number for the tray is AF043112.

So some clarification first. PaperCut absolutely does support Mac. In fact, it is the only cost recovery/print control solution that I know of that actually installs in an all Mac environment. (Server and Client) It also is the only solution I know of that installs in a Linux environment. So both of your issues are solved with PaperCut. I included the install guides for Mac and Linux to get you started.

no, no code for that. I was speaking to someone who mentioned that this canon mfp thing was going to be rolled out to HP direct and no dealers. However we all know how fussy the japanese are with quotas and I would tend to agree that if HP direct does not hit the "numbers" that these systems maybe rolled out to HP dealers. Thoughts?

If I am hearing this right, you have two issues...USB access and driverless/wireless printing. Others have USB printing, we don't. However, we have HotSpot Printers that no one else has. http://www.printeron.net/landing/ricoh/Ricoh.html I am going to assume that you are not familier with this. HotSpot printers allow you to print from anything that has email access including iPhones or BlackBerries. You don't need drivers and you don't need to be on the network. I don't believe you can use the Ratio Scantool without PB. Why can't you use the W5100 with the GW Scanner. I think this is all you need. Also, the WFCS is on the GSA Contract dated July 29, 2009. The product code is 100117FNG for $6,500. You need the "software key" that will allow you to utilize the scanner without having a Ricoh WF attached on the network. The product code is 100257FNG, $4,500 MSRP and the launch date should have been the end of October.

I received a telephone help call from one of our clients who had a malfunction code on their new copier. To clear these malfunction codes it’s usually a case of opening the front door for a few seconds and then closing it again. I asked the client to do this and then come back to the telephone. He returned a few moments later and asked “now what” I asked what happened when he opened and shut the front door, did it clear the code. “no’ was the reply, “it just got colder in here” He’d opened...

On all current Toshiba copiers with HDD, 128 Bit AES Encryption is offered standard but it has to be turned on by a Service Code. The cost is that it somewhat slows down the copier's performance. In my experience, 128 Bit is rarely turned on when I inform the customer of the trade off. Maybe I should just turn it on in the future and not tell the customer. The optional DataOverwrite kit is very rarely purchased by small Commerical customers but often by Gov't & Schools.

BTW, John and I spoke on the phone, he wasn't referring to my "what's the error?" post Error: Undefined usually indicates data corruption or communication loss. It is not usually a true "Error". In a true PS error, there is a problem with the PS code, in an Undefined error, there is usually either no code or garbage.

Art, you need to read the stuff you send. The answer was in the Lanier FAQ's that YOU posted. Q. What is the new Quota Setting feature? A. Quota setting is a new feature that allows administrators to set limits on the volumes that individual users or groups can run on the machine. More than a User Code tracking feature, limits can be placed on different kinds of output (color/B&W mode, copy or print, etc.)

The silver bullet me be the new gWare Software that Ricoh is about to launch. gWare in conjuction with PCSM not only allows the law firm to track all prints but allows copies also to be tracked by a central print server and apply a cost factor to the copies/prints for billing purposes. You can even set it up to automatically email the data at a prescribed time. I bet there won't be more than 12 legitimate posts this month. I too stopped posting when Art did. That's because all of the 300+ edited posts that weekend were mine and Art's.
