The p4p Community got this one correct! Ricoh lost -$342M in the U.S. last year. The worldwide loss was -$777M last year! Nice job. With Martin Brodigan already laying the hammer down (confirmed by Art and his sources), the rising tide of layoffs in America and abroad will be a tool to minimize losses this year. So far, the chaMPS Program has not been the answer.

Re: Big Tom Out as Prez at Ricoh

Art Post (Guest) ·
Just the beginning...? It has now been a little over six months since the merger of Lanier and Ricoh into Ricoh Americas Corporation. During that time, there have been many changes in our organization and we have all experienced some of the good and some of the bad that change brings. The merger of two organizations having different cultures, systems and business methods is a difficult undertaking and what we have seen since April 1 certainly confirms that fact. I am aware of how hard all of...

Thanks Martin Hofman, The industry needs more "Imaginationalyst" (Yes I made that word up). Without the ability to imagine a completely different way of doing things, or the ability to break loose from stubbornness. Change will always happen to you instead of being caused by you. Last week saw Xerox snap up Wakefield-based managed print provider Arena Group, continuing a pattern in recent years which has seen Kyocera acquire Annodata in 2016 and, most notably, HP shell out £380m for Apogee in 2018. However, Fairman ( pictured ) insisted that the print vendor has no intention of competing with its partners base. "Lexmark is absolutely focused on...

Just a little more on the show that I'd like to share from this week. While standing at the end of our booth I was watching the reps from other companies in our section. So many peeps passed their booth and they did not say a word! No greeting, no communication, they waited for someone to speak to them first.
