I thought he was referring to the Ricoh color A4's as those are the ones that I knew about. I have not seen an A4 Ricoh that fits this class. I'm all for a Federal Sales tax, like they have in Europe. Just think, you could get your check from your employer with no taxes taken out (except Social Security), put it in the bank and gain interest with no taxes paid, buy and sell stocks with no taxes on the gain/loss, etc., etc. The only time you'd have to pay tax is if you actually bought something (and unprepared food would be exempt from tax). I've seen the 3100 a couple of times, haven't sat down with it in detail. First impressions are, Nice box, nice features.... Color is business-class ONLY. Canon rates the 3200 as business color, but I have several customers who are graphics shops who use it. This will not ever happen with the 3100. The Smart Device Print&Scan app works pretty well for both iOS & Android and does give you some advanced functionality in terms of finishing, Locked Print and more. Some formatting does get screwed up, but I'm not sure if that's the fault of the app or not. I do hope AirPrint is approved for this series by Apple soon. Some customers are used to using that at home on their $100 printer and are somewhat annoyed that it won't work on their expensive business-class system.

I have to listen to his advice because his business is administering corporate class actions and corporate bankruptcy. to enter the tsc site you must first get a ricoh tech id. i believe you must first be certified on a ricoh product to get a ricoh tech id. you can get a self paced training package or attend a ricoh class. as for tips ricoh will provide you with modified parts and causes of problems but they will never give you get-around fixes.they wont tell you anything but fixes provided by japan.

You need a Tech ID before you can login. I work for a Savin dealer, and after I attended my first Ricoh class, I was assigned a number. These tips are from other Techs that have come across a lot of typical problems out in the field, and can be very useful!
