John, The PrintCopy Tool compares pretty favorably to Plotworks. I attached two documents to this post. The Product Support Guide lists differences between the two products. The PowerPoint has screen shots of all the settings in PrintCopy Tool. I hope this helps.

Re: MPS and Linux HELP!
So some clarification first. PaperCut absolutely does support Mac. In fact, it is the only cost recovery/print control solution that I know of that actually installs in an all Mac environment. (Server and Client) It also is the only solution I know of that installs in a Linux environment. So both of your issues are solved with PaperCut. I included the install guides for Mac and Linux to get you started.

Art, How big is there Active Directory? If you are using the basic syntax CN=Users, dc=abc, dc=com ? If they have multiple OUs (Organizational Units) you may be able to use this syntax OU=Users, OU=Dallas, dc=abc, dc=com Then set up another LDAP search for a different location OU=Users, OU=Boston, dc=abc, dc=com This way each location has a quicker and separate LDAP search. There is a free ldap browser from Softerra that can help you figure out the exact syntax of the OUs. Just don't use...

Medical, Government (especially local municipalities), Healthcare, Mortgage, Title and of course anyone who does not use ledger size paper. I'm not so impressed with the scanning speed (over 30 ipm) is probably at 200dpi which is ok. Not impressed with Ricoh's the document feeder that is used. What I do like is the browser unit, this should enable users to connect to the web and utilize services like UDOCX, Google Docs and much more. All we can hope is that Ricoh does not release these to...

We don't have one yet to test, at lease for a 4502, just found out today that my order is going to take a month before we have the system. I have heard that the browser is a "little slow". I would have to see it work to guess if it is practical or not. Personally, I'm going to sell the heck out of scan2sharepoint with UDOCX.

Re: Ricoh Breaks Boundaries of MFP Intelligence With All-New Technology Platform
I have a few in the field, none with advanced services yet, overall print quality is excellent, the snazzy new screen is just that, once you make a selection you're back to the old style screen that Ricoh has had for years. I've not had the chance to add the browser yet since it is an option. I hoping to have one operational with the browser very soon and I'm going to connect with UDOCX and have some fun.

2 ways... walk up to the device and press "counter check". This is a hard key on the panel. Or, type the IP address using a web browser. this will bring Canon's RUI up. On the right side of your screen you should see (to the right) status/monitor, click on that. Then you'll see(bottom left) "counter check".
