Xerox "Unable to Adjust"

Art Post ·
About four weeks ago I was told that that Global Imaging was going to be absorbed by Xerox in the next few months. In addition it was mentioned that this absorption would result with the loss of many managerial positions. In fact one of those managers called me to ask a favor in reference to a past issue that was posted on this site. It didn't take long for me to put two and two together and I agreed that most of what I heard could come to fruition. After that initial conversation the last...

Re: Please help with Vintage Copier article!

Lucas Distribution LLC ·
3M: Earliest copiers were the ThermoFax brand - ran copies past an Infrared lamp to transfer image to coated paper. I believe from the early 60's. In mid to late 60's introduced the Model 107 & 209 2 step copiers - exposed a pink film to light and ran through a heater to transfer image to coated bond paper. Next technology was M191 & 215 series in mid 70s - electrostatic process using a crush roller & heat to fuse the toner to coated paper - created a shiny surfaced copy - paper...

You left out Saxon. I sold them but don't remember much about them...how they started or where they went. The company I worked for had the liquid tonere Savins and the Saxon was a dry toner alternative. To add to an earlier post regarding the 3M 209 with the pink paper. The process was called dual-spectrum. After that 3M had the VQC line of electro static copiers ending with the VQC III. They really helped me be successful when I started in this business 30 years ago because it was so easy...

I thought estat was short for "electrostatic" You will get hits when you google that but I don't think it is what you were after. I remember replacing "Dual Spectrum" machines which is what we called the 3M 209. they required two rolls of paper, one was pink and the other treated similar to the treated paper machines that followed such as the 3M VQC

3 Promises Major Account Copier Reps Must Make To Themselves And To Their Clients

Making promises and keeping them is a great way to build a brand Seth Godin I ask you to think about these two words "broken promises" and what it means to you and to your clients. Many sales reps are extremely casual about making promises. As a result, their promises are quite often made at the drop of a hat with no thought behind the long term impact. “It has been awhile let’s do lunch,” “I’ll call you later,” or better yet “Let me do some research and get right back to you” are all...
