Fifteen years ago, hard to believe that many of us have seen so much come and go during those years. The Ricoh Aficio 1224 was an A3 color device that printed 12 pages per minute in color and 24 pages per minute in black. We had some horrific problems with speed when the Ricoh 1224 would go into an auto calibration during a print or copy run. It would take up to 5 minutes to calibrate and then restart the print job, and yes we had many frustrated users because we weren't aware of how the...

Canon C356iF-C256iF II Spec Check Review

Art Post ·
It's not often that I'm intrigued by a competitors color MFP. It was two or three weeks ago when a prospect asked, "what do you know about the Canon C356iF?". Well, I was kind of embarrassed because I knew nothing about that Canon device. The only thing I could mutter out was that I would have to do some research and get back to them (not good). It's not like me to not know about my competitors devices, thus I started my quest to know as much as I can about the Canon C356iF. I'm not going to...

COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Sixteen of Sales

This blog will be one of the longer running blog series. NJ just locked down for another 30 days, that statement from the Governors Office came today. In addition an additional lock down was placed on all county and state parks. COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Twenty-Three of Sales

Art Post ·
There was some good news today in that the Feds released their plans for States to get back to work in a three phase operation. Seems each State will have different time lines depending if they meet the conditions that were set forth today. New Jersey is on lock down until the 15th of May. Could we see some of the restrictions lifted soon? I'm thinking no since we're one of those nanny states. This may be one of my shorter blogs and the reason for that is because I spent 5 of my eight hours...

There's no light at the end of tunnel. My thought is that the tri-state area will peak before the other parts of the country, thus while we're going down other geo areas will still be fighting the battle. If someone asked me to guess, I'd guess that we're another three weeks away from the lock down being lifted. Think about that..., that would be make it six weeks! There's a few cluster of infections in New Jersey that keep growing at an alarming rate. Re: HP Launches Instant Ink Subscription Program

dimaxusa ·
Some time ago I read that HP loses around 40% on every inkjet device they sell. Razor and blades I guess. How much can it cost to make a low end printer that works for a couple years or whatever? Lets hope that HP doesn't figure out how to totally destory the supplies and service business for the rest of us. If it wasn't for super high OEM supply costs would the MPS biz be worth it? I hope they don't figure out a good way to lock out vendors with supply discounts and easy blended device costs.
