FYI, SeriPrint is compatible with JP5000/5500/8000/8500/TC2 only. When tied into the SeriPrint system, the unit is no longer able to print with the standard emulsified ink offering, as the SeriPrint unit has top mounted rollers at its' exit section, which would cause surface trailing as the emulsified ink would not have enough time to dry. Mind you, who would want to print with "dry-time consuming" inks when you can print with something that dries instantaneously, when "flashed" with UV?

yep mp 6000, mp 7000 mp 8000 with the new mpc 4000 and mpc5000 which are upgraded versions of the mpc 3500 and 4500. I hope they are better than the mp 4000 and mp 5000!!

We had a second one in the field. That customer didn't want to part with it. He is a P4P. I asked him what the next piece of equipment he planned to purchase was and he said probably another KIP 8000. I said, "If I can get you that at dealer cost, would you trade the Ricoh in return?" He said he would so I got him one. He buys stuff from ebay so he was never going to buy from us anyway so we lost nothing and now we have a parts machine.

Re: Fiery E-8000 Controller
The problem that we are having with the E-8000 scanning is with FTP. Scan to Email seems to work fine but once it is set up for FTP the system tries to reboot itself no matter if you go to the scan or print tab. Has anyone experienced any issues scanning to FTP on the 8000? We have not been given any ETA on the new system software. Anyone know when this should be available?

Slight correction...both the IM 430F and the IM 430Fb are 43 ppm. Additional info...the 430F (SP 501) has a Service Maintenance platform while the 430Fb (SP 502) has a User Maintenance platform. The SP 510 and SP 502 are printer only versions of their respective MFP's. As far as I know, the SP's and the IM 350 (350F without a standard fax) have not been launched yet. It is interesting to note that the service training does not reference the MP 301SPF or the MP 402SPF at all. The new IM units...

Yes, you can use the UFR II driver that will allow PS printing without installing PS on the system. Works great! Oce/Canon won a large school system in Alaska that had 8000 MAC's and NOT one MFP has PS added.....all other manufactures had to add PS for it to work....or try a 3rd party option. That is a huge money saver!

The attached file is crude and probably in need of updating but it illustrates the progression of model numbers when you read it from left to right. It is incorrect to consider the C3001 to be the replacement for the C3000. The C3000 went to the C3300 which went to the C3501. The C3001 is the newer version of the C2500 which became the C2800.
