Re: Canon iR 3200 Pricing

salesguru3 (Guest) ·
Also if someone (maybe someone who sells both) could compare and contrast this product with our 3800 CMF or CL 7000 CMF. I am up against this with a 3800 CMF and the client needs a larger paper capacity. I am almost positive you CANNOT add any additional paper trays-drawers to the 3800 CMF. I do not believe the 1232 C compares if the client is running any color voume whatsoever. THANKS guys

Re: Canon iR 3200 Pricing

salesguru3 (Guest) ·
Thanks for the help guys. I got the pricing and brochure yesterday for the 3200. On the side by side you sent me Graham it mentions that the maximum paper capacity on the 7000 CMF is 3,000 sheets. This would greatly help me out it if it is true. I looked at the brochure of the 7000 CMF and it says the same thing as the 3800 CMF, which is (3) 500 sheet trays and the bypass with no other paper options. Can someone verify or clarify this??? THANKS

We added a lct to a 3800CMF(had to remove tray 3 of course). no problems other then is a little higher the most copiers. I thought Ricoh was going to offer the LCT on the 7000 as a "real" option.

I heard we will have 2 new BW and color machines 1st qtr. They will be based on a" copier version of the CL7000 engine"(not the 1224/32) but have some new features and ACS(finally). Also heard we will have a 35ppm color and BW printer (no copier????) sometime around March. I was told the CL 7000 series will be repositioned.

Re: 8 Bit to 2 Bit Color

Art Post (Guest) ·
Jason: I was always told by my DSM that the CMF 7000 was 2 Bit Color for printing (and we know DSM are always right) . However, when I printed color photos from the CMF 7000 and the 6513. The customer actually liked the way the photos printed better on the CMF 7000. We used the 1200 dpi mode and set the profile to SWOP. The was a definate drop off in the quality of the color copy.

Wow. That cpc is low. I was told, by Ricoh, to figure the same CPC as the 7000. Ted is that your cost or is it what you are selling it for?

Re: wireless nic on 224sp

Digi-Guy (Guest) ·
I sold a Rioch wireless on the CMF-7000, it did not quite live up to expectations. In this clients environment most users were to print via regular LAN Ethernet, but the reason I sold it was some users that were not always in the office, would like to just walk up to the machine with their notebook and print...simply enough right. Nope apparently, it was an either or scenario, either you go all wireless and use the Rioch wireless or all LAN but not both at once! Last one I sell I guess. So I...

I highly reccommend checking the waste toner port, the spring-loaded shutter where it empties toner into the used toner bottle. If the shreads get caught in that area, the toner can get backed up and cause all kind$ of problem$. I lost a drum, cleaning blade and waste toner screw because of this on a new machine with only 7000 Linear feet on it.

Are all of the available Fiery patches installed? It looks as though there have been 6 of them released to date. A few of them do mention addressing lock-up issues. I would make certain all mainframe f/w and Fiery patches are up to date. FWIW, I've got one with the E-7000 installed that has no issues scanning to e-mail.... What method of scanning are you using?

Slight correction...both the IM 430F and the IM 430Fb are 43 ppm. Additional info...the 430F (SP 501) has a Service Maintenance platform while the 430Fb (SP 502) has a User Maintenance platform. The SP 510 and SP 502 are printer only versions of their respective MFP's. As far as I know, the SP's and the IM 350 (350F without a standard fax) have not been launched yet.
