HP is paying $11 million to protect a New York City-size amount of forests

By Adele Peters 2 minute Read In a threatened stretch of rainforest along the Atlantic coast of Brazil, new restoration work will be funded by a somewhat unlikely partner—the tech manufacturer HP. The company is spending $11 million over the next five years to help the World Wildlife Fund scale up work protecting forests both in Brazil and in China on a total area of land covering roughly 200,000 acres. “It’s an example of what we really want to see replicated more by companies, which is...

I feel like sharing our emails that work for obtaining appointments is something that should go to a private chat. Not knowing what competition abounds on this forum, it'd be like giving away our secrets to getting in on a deal. I've found a simple, quick intro followed up with a request has worked. Getting into specifics if you have them from your CRM has gotten traction, but it all really depends on the customer. One big thing, in particular these days, is the fact that I'm sure DM's or...

@TML Thanx for the reply. It's interesting about how we check and deal with incoming emails. For me it's completely opposite because I will drop what I'm doing to address the email and then move on. I'm sure there others like me but probably more like you. I've been more successful with emails rather than phone calls, and that's probably because I have some long standing relationships with many accounts. However every now and then I will turn the tide with a phone call and get the...

I applaud them for thinking about of the box and thinking beyond copiers! I do have some concerns. 1) Your picture and your temperature is being stored in a data base. How will that data be protected? The big big interface for users is facial recognition/ It's been used now by smart phone companies and others. 2) If you do have a temperature and that is stored along with your picture could that be a violation of HIPPA? I have no clue thus the reason I'm asking 3) What happens if you have a...

Our beloved Governor was in attendance at the New Jersey State League of Municipalities today in Atlantic City, NJ giving a speech to those guests pictured. @TML The RNC is fractured in NJ and has been that way for the last 20 - 30 years. We can win a Governorship, but we can't win where it counts for change and that's with the state senate and assembly. However this year we gained seats in both houses and knocked out the second most powerful dem in the state, It's still a tough road for red in NJ

At 8 AM, I found myself extremely far south in one of our open territories for an appointment.
