COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Twenty-Six of Sales

Art Post ·
Tell me how this happens? My wife starting ordering food from a local company in New Jersey. I like it, she likes it and we're pleased with the service and the food. We started using them at the end of last year so it's not a COVID19 thing. One of the things I like is that in every book there is a recipe, instructions and a gloss brochure. Yup you guessed it..., the documents are printed in color and it means potential prospect! Maybe production also. Inspection of the box provided no phone...

COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Forty-Six of Sales

Yesterday I had my first appointment in the field in more than two months. It was time to get back in business attire, that meant the dress shoes needed to be shined, the pressed slacks removed from the closet and of course that neatly pressed dressed shirt that's been on hiatus for the past 10 weeks. Looking in the closed I spotted a nice blue shirt with very think white lines and thought that would do the trick for the day. As I reached for the shirt I thought that this can't be my shirt,...

I always like to give a little back ground about about the previous models and one important note is that Ricoh has decided to not offer non networked version of the MP 2553/3053 and the 3353.   With the previous "52" series you were able to...

Ricoh IM C6000 folding unit question

Art Post ·
I want to take a client from an existing C8003 that has the multi-fold unit and bring them down to the IM C6000 (volume requirements dictates goes lower). The MP C8003 folded documents at the full speed of the print engine. Thus, I'm asking if the same is true of the folder that works with the IM C6000?

COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Fifty-Six of Sales

Short blog tonight please Yay I was able to knock out about 30 calls today along with maybe 20 emails. I was able to set two appointments and added zero opportunities today. Earlier in the AM I received the docs for the two small A4 orders I was waiting on. Thus I'm finally on the books for June and sitting at a measly $6K. One of my wide format net new appointments went well this AM. This is the one where I pitched the pre-owned MP W6700. Client told me they want it all they need to do is...

COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Sixty Six of Sales

Art Post ·
I have such a terrible stress headache tonight. When I get these the only cure is to get some sleep which I will be doing shortly. Today at sixty-six days marks a full quarter since I was optioned to working remotely. One quarter of the year has passed, and I'm thinking we've still got a another 30 days of this. So far working remote has been a very very good to me. No interruptions, not as many breaks, I'm more focused and spend less time chatting with others while I'm in the office. When I...

COVID19 "Remote Working" Day Ninety-Six of Selling

I had one appointment today and that appointment was more of a holding hands session with their new copier. I didn't mind because I put the top down on the hardtop and worked on my tan for about 90 minutes with the drive back and forth from the home office. Every time I drive to this client I take the same route. That route takes me past the Garden State Parkway and Route 520 exit. The parkway is a major artery that leads to North Jersey and that's where many of the jobs are. At this...

US GDP dropped 32.9% in the last three months, the worst in US history. Until the US Gov't effects a coherent national COVID-19 strategy, economic activity will not improve and those parking lots will not fill up anytime soon.

COVID19 Remote Working Day One Hundred and Twenty-Six of Selling Copiers It's 10:24 PM with a cool breeze blowing in from the Ocean tonight. After a frustrating four day work week I finally packed it in about 5:30PM tonight. It had been a long week of phone calls, emails, inmails and texts. I was able to get docs for a small A4 black device late today. I'm hoping that will be the order that opens the flood gates with my 25 plus opportunities. I'm going to get a little off the rails here for...

COVID19 Remote Working Day One Hundred and Fifty-Six of Selling Copiers Monday sometimes the best and worst day of the week. I'm in the camp of "I Don't Like Mondays", because I truly love my weekends and anytime off is a good time. However today was a Monday unlike many other Mondays and that's because I was sick as a dog last night. Not the COVID but more or less a 24 hour bug that was horrid. It was about 3AM on Monday went I finally drifted off. Yes, I woke up late and yes I had a...

What can I say there really hasn't been that much to write about the last three days. I think as I get closer and closer to the end of the year these blogs may slow down even more. All depends if I can pack a few solid orders away there will be much to write about. November 9th and we had a 75 degree sunny day here in NJ. How many more of these days can we get? Anyway it's a pleasure to enjoy and spring can't come soon enough. New Jersey retreated on some openings today. Technically we are...

Today is 176 business days since I was optioned to working remote. Those 176 business days now totals eight full months that I've been in some sort of lockdown. Our Governor keeps toying with the idea that he may start additional lockdowns in the near future because NJ is now averaging 4K positive tests each day. I know he's blowing smoke out of his ass for two reason. One the State of New Jersey is flat ass broke, reducing the tax revenue stream will force a bankruptcy. The second would be...

COVID19 Remote Working Day One Hundred and Ninety-Six of Selling Where do I start since I've come to the end of my selling days for 2021? Do I start with the fact that I was down the last day of the year this morning and knew that anything can happen to screw things up? The year is finally over, it was the year that started when I got back from vacation this time of year. My end of year vacation is a stay at home vacation and it allows me to get some things done at home and just relax. I was...
