Re: Leasing in the Imaging Channel - Pre and Post-Virus
I have been having some arguments with my three preferred leasing vendors that with interest rates now at historical lows, their rate cards have not changed since Jan 2020 and earlier. I argue that their cost of money has gone down and yet they are charging the same rates. They counter argue that it has become more expensive to raise the necessary debt to fund new leases. I counter argued that most leases are renewals so they are not really funding new debt. I realize that argument is an...

Will the pandemic spell the end of the printer?
In a COVID-19-afflicted business world, the office printer gathers dust as most workers truck on from home. Of the few paper-based business processes that remained, many were thrust into the digital realm with help from software platforms. At home, employees make occasional use of desktop printer units for personal use, but the nature of decentralized work is likely to do away with the need for physical copies of documents wherever it can. Despite the decline in use, the total eradication of...

Selling Copiers During the Pandemic "The 2020 Review"
Late March 2 nd (Monday), 2020 my wife and I arrived in Newark Airport from my Presidents Club trip to Aruba. It truly was a great week although we were peppered every day with news headlines with COVID19. It was Thursday of that week when the North East USA when the news was stating to shelter...

Is 1 Rate aka Flat Rate Billing Passe in a Post Pandemic Business World? Since July is all about prospecting I've been able to pay many visits to Linkedin for conducting my research. Is the Pandemic Over Yet?
I've been thinking quite a bit about the world that I now sell in. With the Delta variant picking up steam here in the East, I'm concerned that the Pandemic may have not run it's course just yet. It's my belief that this pandemic started here in the US in late November or early December of 2019. The reason I believe that is because everyone in my family got sick in December and all of us tested negative for the flu. It was nasty for us but we came out it. We'll never know since there was no...

A lot of unknows that is for sure @Art Post , but your last sentence says and means it all. Keep grinding, working hard and good things will come. Be genuine, empathetic to each customers specific scenario and requests (masks/vax card/etc) and utilize video meetings when applicable. Good luck out there, summers almost over so we're supposed to see some people coming back from vacation mode to work mode right?
