A good rule of thumb is to run no more than about 25% of the machine's recommended monthly volume on "special" paper (e.g. heavy-weight or coated). N.B.-The paper recommendations in this file for the MP C3500/C4500 apply for the C811DN as well...

Slight correction...both the IM 430F and the IM 430Fb are 43 ppm. Additional info...the 430F (SP 501) has a Service Maintenance platform while the 430Fb (SP 502) has a User Maintenance platform. The SP 510 and SP 502 are printer only versions of their respective MFP's. As far as I know, the SP's and the IM 350 (350F without a standard fax) have not been launched yet. It is interesting to note that the service training does not reference the MP 301SPF or the MP 402SPF at all. The new IM units...

I do all but the saddle stitching when I produce some of our company's inhouse marketing pieces. My files also are 12 pages in Word and 12 pages in Excel (12 pages in one workbook), and my pages are all letter size also. Use the "magazine" icon in the RPCS graphical driver; it looks like a sheaf of papers folded with the pages numbered. The MP C2000 is simply a 20ppm version of the MP C2500/C3000. There will be no Fiery (EFI) model, but all other specs other than print/copy speed are the same, and all accessories are the same.

the footnotes were changed when the Fiery options were launched last year. They actually say that the Fiery options are "Compatible ONLY with MP C2500 EFI / C3000 EFI models and E3000 Fiery Controller" So yes, you can add a Fiery to an MP C2500. And you have all the same options available as on the pre-configured "EFI" models.

The attached file is crude and probably in need of updating but it illustrates the progression of model numbers when you read it from left to right. It is incorrect to consider the C3001 to be the replacement for the C3000. The C3000 went to the C3300 which went to the C3501. The C3001 is the newer version of the C2500 which became the C2800. Equally true that the C3501 is not the newer version of the C3500. You may think it is splitting hairs but these distinctions are critical to the...
