Need some help from my #officetechnology / #officeequipment network: Have a customer (car dealer) that opened a new shop and needs Lexmark systems in place. Ours have been continually delayed and we are close to missing a deadline. If anyone has the following please let me know. This is 100% needle in the haystack but if we don't ask we don't know. Need the following: 6 - MS-521DN's 1 - MX-622adhe w/ second tray and stand 2 - MX-331ADN Multifunctions If anyone has these ready to ship I will...

Thanks Art! I would advise against anyone using Peak Resources for anything they need. They often claim to have product ready to ship and then tell you it has shipped but refuse to give any tracking because it really hasn’t shipped because they are a middle man distributor who only drop ships from Tech Data or Ingram. I did not know this until this week as we had a pending order with a car dealer (net new) for a fleet of Lexmark’s and the customer was extremely upset about the three month...

What system are they running? Reynolds? Dealertrack? I've never not been able to make them work with Ricoh's.

@grizzlyadams for most of our dealerships that we work with it’s not really about if other equipment works, it’s that they don’t want to mess with it and they just buy the Lexmark. That has been historically the pushback in the feedback from our auto groups.

Is the reasoning that they don't want to "mess with it" because of the software company specifying the Lexmarks?

That used to be the case but now their fleets are so entrenched with Lexmark's that they don't want to mix fleets and have more varying toners on the shelves etc. The list of excuses is long. I think it is just keeping with their status quo. It is fine for me; we just have to pivot based on what Lexmark actually has available.

That makes sense. I always hated when software companies would specify a specific brand. Several times we put a unit in before a deal to show that a PCL printer is a PCL printer.

The 2023 Difference Makers of the Office Equipment Galaxy

Art Post ·
Well, awards season is almost over in the world of entertainment. All the Oscars and Golden Globes have been doled out for best actor, best actress and best picture—along with the more esoteric honors that recognize cinematography, animated shorts and top performance by a key grip in a documentary. It’s noteworthy that a number of actors and actresses who’ve toiled in the television and motion picture industry for decades finally got the recognition they deserved from the Academy Awards.
