Re: Ricoh shifts production out of China
The rest of the article is very interesting: As a result of the impact of the US-China trade war , the Japanese company has opted to move its production line out of the country in order to help reduce costs. As The Epoch Times reports , on 5 January 2019 Ricoh revealed that it would be relocating its printer production facilities from Shanghai and Shenzhen to a factory in Thailand, hoping to “restart production” there within two months. The reason for the move, given by an anonymous...

Re: We all thought Sharp Corp would be next to drop, but Toshiba Tec may be sold first
The sources for this story are not named nor any details confirmed by Toshiba Corp. Toshiba Corp could request Toshiba Tec (an independent subsidiary company) to buy controlling interest in its shares. The copier division is doing OK but Toshiba Tec probably made a mistake in overpaying for the IBM Point of Sale division a few years ago. This forced a big write down and loss on overstated assets for the last six month accounting period. Toshiba Tec has never been involved with the accounting...

saw that, secret sources right. We'll see, Toshiba may need the cash rather that let Toshiba Tec on their own. But, we've seen crazier things right.

Samsung is probably the only one who can afford to buy another manufacturer. They have more money than god right now.

No mention of Toshiba Tec in Toshiba Corp's big restructuring statement made Dec 21 in Japan. It seems all of the pain will be in Toshiba Corp's consumer electronic business encompassing TVs, appliances and maybe/maybe not the laptop business.

Who Would be a Viable Buyer for Toshiba Tec
In a recent article in The Japan Times, the article mentioned that a source had stated that Toshiba "may" be willing to sell Toshiba Tec. Toshiba Tec is the business unit that markets their imaging products as well as other products. Cast your vote, I'm casting mine now!

We all thought Sharp Corp would be next to drop, but Toshiba Tec may be sold first
Just ran across this today in my google alerts. Check this statement out by the Japan Times, "Toshiba Corp., which is embroiled in an accounting scandal, is considering selling its listed office equipment subsidiary Toshiba Tec Corp. as part of efforts to streamline its diversified businesses, sources said Monday." I'm sure we can have a lot of fun with this one also, who would be a viable buyer? Could this really happen? Would they sell to Samsung? Here's the...

The 20 Most Highly-Rated Sales Books of All Time
Benjamin Franklin once said, "Experience keeps a dear school, but fools will learn in no other." In other words, you can rely solely on first-hand experiences to gain sales knowledge -- but it might be painful. For example, losing a huge deal because you failed to connect with the decision maker will teach you to involve the budget authority in future deals. However, you'll have missed out on a valuable opportunity in the present. To dramatically cut down on your learning curve, pick up some...

Re: Ricoh clarifies its commitment to print
Is looking to grow its OEM business (supplying hardware to competitors) to $923 million by 2025 ... as is Toshiba Tec. I am sure Xerox has plenty of offers to supply both A3 and A4 print engines. Maybe consolidation in the print industry does not mean as Sales Organizations but as hardware OEMS.

The End is.....
What's a beginning with out an end? If there is no end was there ever a beginning? I for one can tell you that the end is near...... All of the work at the end of 2021 and all of 2022 will come to an end in seven weeks for me. For others it's a mere eight weeks to so to the end of 2022. After 42 years, and yes I'm still chasing a number, it never seems to "end". Starting is good but I can tell you that ending is even better! The great thing about endings is that you can always re-write your...
